Lifelong friends escape
I wanted to find a place on the water that was quiet and peaceful for my friend who had lost her mom and needed some peace and quiet! This was the perfect place! Summer would be so nice here to enjoy sitting outside, enjoying a fire and relaxing on the upper level of the lighthouse but with the electric fireplaces on both levels we stayed warm and cozy. We also enjoyed watching the Eagles in the morning too

Lovely night away!
Overall had a wonderful time staying on Tracy’s property. It was such a cute space and the view at sunset was gorgeous. Tracy was so responsive and attentive as well. The only minor thing to note is that the listing mentions a kitchen, but there is no stovetop, just an outside grill and microwave. We were planning on cooking and brought groceries so that was a bit disappointing, but just something to prepare for! Really appreciated the space heaters on both the bottom and top floors!!

Unique stay
We booked this stay for the opportunity to try something new. The location was close enough to town but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet in the area. Our bonfire while watching the sunset and getting to see the bald eagle and some deer right outside our window was the e highlight of the stay.

Lovely, Unique escape!
What a piece of paradise to experience in such a unique setting. We were blessed with beautiful weather and soaked in the peaceful setting. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy a fire as we watched the sky change with the sunset! Our host was very responsive...even went to get us a space heater, for the downstairs, as the temps were dropping. Getting to the bedroom was a challenge for us mid-60 yr. olds but well worth the view and comfy bed! It was a very memorable way to spend our 42nd anniversary! Thank you for sharing your space!

This is the best place to go to kick back and unwind. The views are beautiful, the bed is comfy, and it's such a quaint place. We spent our evening with the windows open and it was like sleeping outside. We'll be back for sure!

Weekend Escape
Place was as advertised and a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city and suburbs. It was a beautiful clear night, which made the sunset and stars pop. The sounds of the bay and wind were soothing. The property was well kept and the owner provided amenities and firewood. She provided a binder full of info, directions, contacts, and history. Don’t forget to sign the memoir in the bedroom. Got some good tips, on local places and things to do, in reading other travelers’ stories. The owner and family seemed kind and welcoming. They were respectful of our privacy, but close that if there were any issues I know we would be in good hands. Will definitely go back if in the Bay City area.

Unique Experience
This is truly a unique place to stay. You feel as though you are on a remote island in Maine. The views are incredible and the Egrets are fun to watch. The lighthouse cabin is unique but understand that it is VERY small. If you are looking for a VRBO that will allow you to kick back in a chair and/or a hot bath (there is only a 3 gallon hot water heater for a quick shower), this would not be your ideal destination. If you experience unfortunate weather during your stay (as we did) and need to stay indoors, you are very limited in what you can do. Also, cooking options are limited as there is no stove/oven and the fridge is a dorm fridge. There is a grill outside but once again, if you experience bad weather, that won’t be an option for you. If you don’t mind these limitations - then you will enjoy this uniquely wonderful VRBO!

Just a quick 1 day getaway for me and the wife had an absolutely amazing time!!! The “house” is beautiful, it was exactly what we wanted secluded waterfront property to spend the day relaxing and just checking out for everyday life!!! Host was extremely accommodating and answered every question super fast! Without a doubt we will be back!

Wonderful, private Bird Sanctuary
Cute tiny house with about everything you need. The view and bird life is all around you. Very peaceful and relaxing place. The steps to the upstairs could be a problem for those afraid of heights or older folks. For us it added to the vibe. Enjoyed it very much!

The Lighthouse was cozy, quiet, and peaceful. If you like nature and solitude, I highly recommend a stay here. Tracy was a great host, easy to contact and accommodating to our needs. It is a little slice of heaven on earth.

Gorgeous Location!
Stayed here with my bff for a girl's weekend. The location is beyond gorgeous and so serene and peaceful. We could have sat on the swing under one of the huge, beautiful weeping willows the whole weekend! We saw the northern lights, the milky way and gorgeous sunsets. The lighthouse was small but cozy and had a super comfy bed. We had a visit one night from one of the hosts cats, which just made our trip! (We called him Full English Breakfast 😂 but his name was O'reo.) Only real drawback is the spiders at night, but it is right on the water, so not much to be done about it. The host did provide spider spray and the issue was mostly with the deck at night and not too bad inside the lighthouse itself. I hate spiders but can definitely say it was worth it! Great bird watching, host provided binoculars, which was a nice touch. You cannot really swim here, it is too shallow and grassy, but we had a lot of fun kayaking with the provided kayaks and a beach is only a 30 min drive away. All the fun in Bay City is about 20 min away and then you can come back and relax! We absolutely loved it and I would definitely return, possibly with significant other as it seemed like it could be a very romantic experience (the guest book was full of notes from people that spent their honeymoons and romantic vacations there). Thanks for a great stay Tracy!

Perfect quiet night in with beautiful views and accommodations
A night getaway with my partner in between summer activities with the kids and back to school busyness. Beautiful, beautiful. Couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Peaceful reading, card games, and an evening fire and porch swing.

Perfect for a recharge

Eloped at Eagle Point
What an amazing weekend. Property owner was gracious enough to allow us to have our elopement here at Eagle Point lighthouse and we stayed for the weekend. Absolutely loved how cozy it was and can’t wait to come back and watch more wildlife and reminisce our wedding day!

What a beautiful spot!
The light house provided a great spot to stop for the evening on our travel south. We were able to relax in the sun and enjoy a one of a kind private view of lake Huron. The house itself is great for two. Would recommend and will hopefully be back!
