The hotel itself and our room was very clean and well kept. The outdoor pool area was very dirty though. The pool is surrounded by trees and so a lot of debris had settled on the bottom of the pool and there was garbage and used towels all over the area. The location was excellent and check in was very easy. Breakfast selection was decent as well.

This doesn't work for me...the cockroaches I mean
Walked in to check in at the desk and there was definitely an "older" hotel odor. The receptionist was not at the desk and the lobby was dark and empty. We waited a couple of minutes and he came out of the back. We got our room keys and went to the room. Our reservation was non-refundable for $187. When we got to our room and opened the door, the odor got worse. In my ten years of experience as a REALTOR, that odor is mildew and mold activity. For $187, we are still in. The room was dark and felt very institutional, like a hospital room. As I left the living room area and went in the bedroom there were only the two nightstand lamps to light the whole bedroom. As I was checking out the bathroom, my 11 yo daughter called and said there was a bug on the wall. I grabbed some toilet paper and came to see a German cockroach crawling on the wall. Not a Palmetto bug. A Cockroach. As I chased it down the wall behind the dresser, I saw many other bug carcasses on the floor. I told the kids, gather your stuff. We went to the front desk, gave the tissue to the front desk clerk, who again was in the back, and let him know we can't stay here and why. I wish I had taken pictures. We went to the Garden Inn close by and had a phenomenal experience for $220/night.

Loved the easy process and clean facility. Nice and quiet and they allow dogs. Only thing I didn’t like was the shower seemed dirty so we didn’t use it. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

Poor housekeeping. Suite door not closing properly. Ceiling fan did not work Bedside lights not working . Broken ironing board. One leg on it. 3 people in the room no bedding for pull out bed. Not enough towels. And the bed collapsed. Room 606. Had to find another hotel. Could not tell us when another room would be ready.

The staff were very friendly, check in was great and kitchen staff was extremely helpful. The lady running breakfast was so busy but she never got frustrated and greeted each person as she passed by to refill the trays. She even rushed out to help a gentleman with the waffle maker because he didn’t know what to do when it was beeping to be flipped. Whoever was working Saturday morning in the breakfast area needs to be recognized for her work ethics and attention to others needs. The hotel lobby was beautiful to walk into, loved the fireplace and chandelier. The elevator was a little alarming as the door would get stuck every time when opening. The carpet in the entire hotel needs to be replaced. It’s stained and worn. Inside our room was spacious, we had the suite area with kitchen and a small living room. It still had wallpaper which is stained. Wall treatments need to be updated. Even though our room had a non-smoking sign, the smelt of old smoke when you first walked in. The mattresses slept great. There was also a fan overhead in the bedroom. This was nice since the air didn’t work great. The mirrors were nice. We were appreciative of the full length mirror . The shower and toilet were fine except for the need of updates. The price of this hotel was lower than others in the area. It saved money but is in need of some updating.
