Quaint and remote...yet close to it all!
We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute! The cabin is cute, clean, comfortable and we loved the extras like the little hot tub (private!). Lots to do within an hour of the cabin. Excellent and we would definitely stay there again!

The tiny cabin was super comfortable and cute as can be. It was very quiet and relaxing after a day of sight seeing. The hosts were amazing and had all the little thoughtful touches including some snacks. I would highly recommend this property! Thank you Lee and Tracy for a great stay and the cows were a sweet bonus to wake up to in the morning.

Great location, very quiet
Loved our stay here. Property is off the beaten path, so it was very peaceful and quiet. Cabin had everything you need to fix your own meals, which was a plus. We really enjoyed spending our mornings on the deck. Bed was very comfortable. Owners checked in on us a couple times, which was appreciated. Very responsive when we needed something. Will definitely return.

Quaint cabin in a rural setting
I enjoyed my stay in this cozy cabin! It was a nice place to come back to after spending the days hiking in the Badlands and Black Hills. The semi-private, small hot tub on the cabin’s deck was the perfect place to relax in the early evening. The Keurig-style coffee maker came fully stocked with a variety of coffee pods, which made mornings easier. You have to travel down approximately two miles of gravel road to get to the cabin, and the location is fairly remote so the little refrigerator in the cabin made it easy to stock up on essentials. The bunk bed situation (full/queen sized beds at ground and middle level with a twin bed in the loft above) could use improvement, and access to the upper beds is provided by fire-escape style metal ladders. If you’re not a climber, these might be a challenge. The owners do have plans, however, to replace the bunk beds soon with something more accommodating. Tiny-home style cabins like this come with small bathrooms so adjust your expectations. I’m 5’5” with an athletic build and found the shower a bit cramped. If you’re a larger person, you may experience some difficulty. Nevertheless, the owners have done a fantastic job making great use of the limited space in the cabin! The WiFi signal is strong and reliable with high-speed access. I had no problems streaming media and downloading data for my mapping/hiking apps, which is not always the case when staying in rural accommodations. I can’t wait for my next trip back!

The owners were super helpful and quick to respond. It was 2 adults and 2 kids in the cabin. I wouldn’t go anymore people than that. Great central location while doing all the Black Hills attractions.

We loved staying at this nice little cabin. The pictures were slightly deceiving as far as the inside size of the cabin goes. It was very quaint, but we did like that it was furnished with everything we needed.

Very peaceful cabin on private property
This tiny home/ cabin is great for families that are traveling and wanting to see and do all the stuff nearby. It was close enough to go do all the black hills stuff each day and yet far enough out that we saw wildlife each evening returning to the cabin. They really maximize the space and we just sat outside to enjoy breakfast each morning on the deck. It is very quiet and peaceful and the owners are on-site so available if anything is needed which was nice! They breed Corgi puppies too so my son absolutely loved being able to see the puppies and all the dogs on the property. If you don't mind being a little bit away from custer state park (less than 30 minutes) this is a great rental on private property.

Overall happy with the rental. There is absolutely no where to store your gear and clothing. Not sure how sleeping in the bunk beds would work, it was just my wife and I, but it doesn't look easy. A little dangerous maybe? The deck steps are not what you might say standard and it gets a little dicey especially at night. Be careful in the driveway, the grade is a bit steep in places and maneuvering at night can also be a challenge, bring a flash light. I would not recommend for elderly or anyone with mobility issues. There are dogs in the immediate area and they have a yapping fest during the daylight hours but the didn't bark at night. But if your young with a couple of kids maybe, this place would be fine but just remember, no storage inside for anything substantial. We laid our clothes out on the second bunk along with cell phones and such. Left the suit cases in the car. We slept sideways on the bottom bunk so we could both get out, you'll see. The bunks are against the wall so it was much easier. The people were very nice and accommodating.

Area it's located in is beautiful and easy to travel to all attractions in the area. However, the property description is misleading in that it indicates it's on a horse ranch I believe. NOT a horse ranch by any means. It also indicates a campfire pit and hot tub are available to enjoy, but they sit next to the property owners house, and are more likely a biz write-off than an actual amenities. We were looking forward to a possible horseback ride for the kids . . . So we felt mislead to a degree. Other than the "horseback" disappointment, the cabin is super cute and in a quiet nice area.

Cute inside, not outside
I have no complaints about the cabin itself. I knew things would be tight with 6 people in a tiny house, but it totally worked. My only suggestion for the inside is that the kitchen items weren't organized well and there were somethings I needed but weren't there like a cutting board and a knife (there were a few small paring knives thrown in with the other utensils). The communication left much to be desired. In the months leading up I tried a few times to ask questions, but never got a response. I never received check-in instructions, so I thought I was in the wrong place when I pulled up because I could not see the cabin. I had to knock on the hosts door to ask for directions. I was then bombarded by dogs. No where in the description did it mention dogs when I booked. The host breeds dogs. I was also surprised by the external appearance because after the listing pictures were taken, two camper trailers were put right next to the cabin. These appear to have long term renters in them. These renters also had dogs, as well as all the neighboring properties. There were dogs barking, yelping and whining all the time. There were also loose dogs on our porch on several occasions, which was frustrating because I told the host my smallest child was scared of dogs. But most disturbing of all was the treatment we witnessed from one of the renters in the campers next to us. He was physically and verbally abusive to his dog right in front of our children. In addition, there was no way to lock the cabin when we left. It was unlocked when we arrived and we were ever given a key. We also had some of the neighboring guests (staying in a different listing) come over asking for things that were missing from their apartment. The host was very kind to us in the interactions we had with her. She seemed like a nice person. But all in all I felt like my stay was lacking some of the professionalism I have found at other places.
