Great remote property
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this peaceful little cabin. It was a great spot to relax and give our kids and dogs some room to run around for the weekend with plenty of recreational options a short drive away.

Small quaint, place to stay. We enjoyed all the time qe spent there. Cool experience with being isolated. Sink outside was fine except the huge wasp next next to it. Got stung by washing dishes. They don't like the noise. We'll be back!

Great place in the Driftless
This was a very secluded spot and the cabin was clean and and nicely decorated. The composting toilet took a minute to get used to but was fine. I never had to use my 4wheel drive going up the hill to the cabin but would highly recommend having it just in case,a higher riding vehicle would be a must. The cabin is close to town and a great location for trout fishing in the area. We had a wonderful time.

Fireworks get away
Needed a hiding place for me and my dog for the July 4th mayhem of fireworks. This completely fit the bill! Secluded and quiet, the driveway was a little intimidating at first but once up and down you could easily manage. Communication with Sarah was great! Explored the countryside with the help of the magazines and pamphlets I found in the cabin. Was a restful experience!

Disappointed
TV didn’t work, no sink inside (outside sink on deck for tooth brushing, washing, doing dishes, etc.) very inconvenient!, sleeping other than in one only bedroom was in very low clearance loft accessible by steep ladder (not senior citizen friendly), no drink water available, floor lamp beside eating table didn’t work.

Fun glamping getaway
My husband, dog, and I stayed at this property for a night. We enjoyed the comforts of being able to go for walks in nature and have a fire in their fire pit, while also being able to sleep in a bed and watch DVDs we brought to use with their entertainment system. The composting toilet was super cool! I’ve suggested the idea to my parents to incorporate into our family cabin. We didn’t try their shower setup, but it looked promising. Take the advice of having an all wheel drive car to get all the way up the driveway. We had a great time at this cabin and if we are ever in the area again, we would return!

Anniversary Getaway
We were getting away for the weekend for our anniversary and we were looking for something rustic. This cabin was perfect. We are tent campers, but camping in mid-October can get cold. This cabin offered the perfect blend of "roughing it" and amenities. Space heaters kept it plenty warm. As the listing stated, there isn't running water so we fell back on our camping experience and barely noticed. The owners provided plenty of water for washing dishes and a short shower if needed. The composting toilet (bucket with a seat) had a bit of a learning curve, but it sounds like they have plans to upgrade in the future. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates a little isolation.

Cute cabin
Cute cabin. Very fun drive leading to the cabin. Low slung vehicles like minivans will definitely have a hard time. Personally felt like it was a bit overpriced for what it was but we were given a gift and decided to splurge so it was very fun.

Remote But Nice
Pretty much everything that was noted on the website. Very unusual setting in the cornfield at the top of a hill. New place which was nice. The composting toilet was basically a bucket with a plastic bag that we had to empty. The listing states 2 queen beds but the one is a full bed. TV didn’t have an antenna so no local channels, just DVDs. We didn’t have any meals at the cabin so we didn’t miss no running water.

Cute cabin on a peaceful and private property
Super cute cabin located in a wonderfully peaceful and private area. We were surrounded by corn fields on one side and woods on the other. So lovely! As listed, the property has no running water, which we tried to prepare ourselves for. The shower is a great setup. The “toilet” - not so much. I believe it’s listed as a compost toilet, but it’s basically a five gallon bucket with a lid (I do admit I read another review that stated this but wasn’t sure what to expect). It’s a bit “tippy” and I didn’t love the idea of changing the bag every time someone left more than urine in it. #eek Honestly though, I found that not having a SINK was actually a bigger challenge for me. Trying to do dishes in “dish pans” is fine, but having to walk outside to dump them was a total nuisance. Don’t even get me started on brushing my teeth outside.... I dislike leaving negative reviews. We DID enjoy our time and if you know what you’re getting into, it’s a great location! This is a NEWER listing, so hopefully the owner will consider adding or changing a few things to make it a little less challenging in the areas I’ve stated, as well as providing instructions for use of the shower, toilet and just overall general instructions for the cabin (which were not available at the time when we stayed). Regardless of any issues, the owner is very responsive, friendly and helpful.

Perfect for Us
The description of the property was spot on and communication with Sarah was fabulous. The cabin was exactly what we needed to just get away. The cabin had everything you needed but still had the charm of roughing it, just a tiny bit. We loved it and can't wait to stay again

Adorable Cabin Short Drive From Major Hwy
Overall, the property is beautiful and the cabin is adorable. Not as clean as I hoped though. The "compost" toilet left me smh. Basically a 5 gallon pail, garbage bag, and snap on seat/lid. Very tipsy and in a confined space. The long driveway to the property is very rocky with ruts and brush on both sides. Caution if you don't want the sides of your car scratched. If you have a small low riding vehicle, recommend parking at the bottom and walking your things up. AWD definately needed. Shower operation should have had instructions. As well as the toilet, should you need to change the bag. Kitchen looked to be stocked with all the essentials. Tv/DVD player work properly. Small selection of movies(mostly childrens). Host was great, and answered all questions promptly. Overall, very pleasant stay. 😊
