The cottage is spacious, a total of 85 square meters with plenty of space in the sofa and the dining area. There is a fireplace and wood burning stove in the living room and plenty of wood that can be used by the tenant. On rainy days you can enjoy games, music or DVD movies. The kitchenette has an electric hob, fridge, freezer, baking machine and microwave. The terrace has plenty of room for deck chairs, dining table and barbecue. In the shed there are four bicycles available to the guests. The cottage is close to the "Children's Nature World", where there are marked trails for nice family trips to simple cabins that are open to everyone. Sheep moves free around in the forest. You can encounter moose, deer, reindeer, fox and hare in the area. A hare often lives under the terrace. There are wolverins up in the mountains. The cottage is located about 600 meters above sea level. Ten minutes walk from the cottage is Langklopp mountain farm, which rents horses for riding. At SlƦttetjĆønna, which is a nature reserve, there is a lookout tower for birdwatchers. If you like to go on mountain peaks, we can recommend the peaks "TrollhĆøtta" and "Grythatten". On the way to TrollhĆøtta there is an open cabin with stunning views. Here you can make coffee and light in the oven. It is only three kilometers down to the E6, the road that goes north to Trondheim. You drive to Trondheim in 90 minutes. Nearest shopping centers are Oppdal or BerkĆ„k (20 km away). At Fagerhaug (9 km away) there is a cafĆ©, a kiosk and petrol. At the end of Gisnadalen there is a gold digging camp. The largest gold nugget found so far in the river is 34 grams.
If you drive a little south of Oppdal, you can observe herds of musks that go freely on Dovrefjell. Dovre and Trollheimen have beautiful, marked hiking routes. There are also nice opportunities for cycling on small mountain roads without car traffic. Swimming can take place in indoor baths at Oppdal or in the beach at Buvatnet at BerkƄk. If you take the trip to Trondheim, Nidaros Cathedral, the old town of Bakklandet and Ringve Music History Museum are worth a visit. Trondheim is a port for The Costal Express, which goes on daily route from Bergen to Kirkenes.
