Solid place to stay
Had a double room as a solo traveler and a shared hall bathroom. Sink in the dorm. Bedding was clean and room was fine for the price. The real value was being a 10 min walk from the big church and about 15 min walk from the Harpa (downtown Reykjavik). Other key bus stops were close as well. I would absolutely stay here again

Very old room . Dirty pillow very old and with holes in the lining . The shared toilet was terrible very old and dirty. Terrible experience we move out after one night . It was terrible they sent us to another building with not parking space. Very dodgy neighbourhood. The furnitures very old with humidity not even decent to stay the night. Terrible experience we booked for 4 days and we spoke with the owner about all this problems. They didnt care about it .

We stayed in the studio which was self contained and well equipped. It was also quiet, warm with comfortable beds. Communication with the owners was excellent and we were allowed to check in early which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

We took around an hour plus to find the building and room. Though there is instruction but not really clear and to our suprised the accommodation is worn off and dirty. They gave us like a basement old unit. Kitchen utensils are not clean as well! The whole place looks very run down. Bedsheets, linen is terrible. The bathroom is always wet, no divider between the toilet and shower. We also park our car at a distance as the parking is quite limited. If i knew it’s such a bad experience, would rather pay slightly more for others. Really a lousy stay at Reykjavik!

Had to take off your shoes at the door but the floor wasn't clean enough for this so take slippers. Shared toilets but a sink in the room. I would stay again.

Great find for a friendly, no frills stay, has everything I needed and a short walk to downtown and the Bus terminal. Free coffee was a nice bonus!

Love this place. The room was great, the staff was super nice and helpful. It has more than what I expected. There’s a coffee machine in the pantry, there’s even free use of their washing machine and dryer! Everywhere is walkable there. It’s easy to get to BSI bus terminal and to many attractions. If you don’t want to walk, there is also bus to take nearby.

Simple place to sleep run by wonderful people
Simple, clean guesthouse. Proprietor is like everyone i've ever met in 4 trips to Reykjavik: genuinely nice, feel like you've known them all your life. I have no complaints about the room; I did think it included a TV in the room, but it was actually in the lobby of multiple room, of which mine was one. No worries; I was way too tired to watch it anyway. Included breakfast was skimpy, but again, not a huge problem for me. Nice to have coffee and some toast or cereal before you start you day. YMMV, but this room was perfect suitable for me and the nature of this one-night stop in Reykjavik.

Very good location within 20 minutes walk of city center . Room was very comfortable with radiator heating and a window to cool down. Microwave did seem to work but kettle and stove were good.

An alright stay in a great location!
Check in was a little confusing as we were put in a different building. Once we picked up the key from main building , we had to go 4 houses down to another building. Once there, using the key took some figuring out and we were not the only ones having problem with the key. Only one bathroom that has shower, sink and toilet together for 5 rooms so it was no fun having to use bathroom in the morning when everyone was trying to get ready and leave The room itself was spacious and beds comfortable. Surrounding area is safe and great, walkable distance to the church and dining.

Great budget rooms for those who are not picky
My checked in process with Ingi was quick and friendly. The location was convenient and walking distance to the BSI terminal, Reykjavik city center sights, shopping and bus stops for tours. The single rooms are in the small side, but you are only there to sleep. The kitchen use is a plus for those who want to prepare their meals. The toilet and shower in each floor is okay. My first three nights was great since not a lot was using them. The last two nights were bad since more guests checked in and they left a mess in the the shower room. Overall, it’s a good budget hostel private room if you are not too picky.
