Excellent staff, from reception to housekeeping. Spotless property, well maintained. Very close to the bus station for day trips/airport. The old town is a handy walk, the beach two minutes away. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location
Located right next to the beach with great service and breakfast buffet. Soundproofed room is an absolute must in the city, and Aquamare has them as well

Great location! Located 2 min walk from one of the nicest beaches on the island. I received a warm welcome from Julia the day I arrived. All spaces including my room were spotless. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They arranged taxi pick-ups for me and help me with directions daily. Breakfast is very good, there is a hot and cold buffet, and something for everyone. There is a little boutique next to the reception, they have beach towels, sun cream, pretty hats and beach wear reasonably priced for a tourist area. Alice and Julia from the boutique were also always so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again.

Location is good, nearby the city center and good beach elli, staff is very friendly, rooms are rather small and a little bit noisy because of the ventilation system operating at the near by restaurant. Food is excellent.

Almost a completely new hotel
I have stayed at the Aquamare a number of times in past trips to Rhodes and my previous comments all apply as to the excellent location and friendliness of the staff. It is in a perfect position for exploring the old city of Rhodes and while not directly on the beach is certainly less than a hundred yards away. The hotel has just finished a major renovation and redecoration which makes it even more attractive. The renovation included a new restaurant in the hotel. It is quite a nice place to spend a holiday.

Noisy tourist trap
The location of this hotel is nice and close to Elli beach which is handy. The staff are fairly approachable although not overly helpful. The rooms are tiny and the beds are super hard and the size of your body only so you won't want to move around. The shower is pretty gross. The curtain doesn't go down to the floor so the whole bathroom floods. Linen and towels are dirty with brown stains and never feel dry. Nothing dries in this place it was unpleasant. The worst part about the hotel are the extremely thin walls. You will hear every little thing your neighbours are upto and I mean EVERY thing. I didn't sleep through the entire night once in my 6 night stay. Pick somewhere nicer

We actually left and payed for a second hotel. This place was disgustingly dirty. Old and dated are one thing but filthy is another. When we complained they did not even offer to clean the room. There are many hotels in the area and I am sure all would be better choices. Do not be fooled by the updated lobby and bar. Travelled for 5 weeks and were happy with every other place. Heard many others trying to get refunds and complaining we were not the only unhappy ones. This does not even meet a 1 star criteria. Worst hotel we ever seen and we travel s lot.

As nice as could be
I have stayed at the Aquamare almost every year when I return to Rhodes and it has always been excellent. The location is hard to beat although not right on the Aegean you can walk to the water in a couple of minutes and can see out to the sea from most of the rooms. Even more important is being able to walk to the old fortified city in less than 15 minutes for exploration and dinner. The staff has always been extremely helpful with special thanks to Vicky and Mika at the front desk. You could hardly find a nicer place to stay for your holidays. My only complaint is that Rhodes is nearly 6,000 miles away.

Overall the hotel is quite nice, seems to be recently renovated. Good breakfast too. The room was tiny. I suggest they get rid of the carpet in the hallways and that will make a HUGE improvement.

A fine hotel on a fascinating island.
This was the third year I've stayed at the Marie and it has always been outstanding. This year my luggage was lost on the way over and the hotel staff made many calls on my behalf to try to locate my luggage. The position of the hotel is excellent being both close to the beach and also the old walled city. The rooms are fine and even being a single traveler I had a room with a view out to the Aegean. The buffet breakfast is also quite nice.

Very Good hotel, in good location. Staff very good could not do enough for you. Rooms good with clean towels every day, and clean bed linen every 2 days. Carpets to corridors need to be replaced, and more variety to food at breakfast (different eggs other than scrambled and hard boiled and fresh fruit) to bring this up to an excellent / boutique hotel.

Good buy in great neighborhood
Basically, this was a good buy for the price in a great neighborhood, assuming you want to stay in New town. Near great beaches, excellent restaurants, Casino, aquarium, and easy walking distance to Old Town, bus stops, etc. We were able to take the airport bus into town and walk with our suitcases without problems. Nothing special in terms of amenities (although the pool was very nice, and I'm a lap swimmer), decent breakfast, friendly staff, but just a tad seedy (the comments about the dirty, worn carpet in the hall seemed to be true, although we had no problems with air conditioning or extra charges). Overall, a clean budget hotel in a super location (loved the public beach across the street and the Internet cafe next door--we seem to have problems finding free Internet at Greek hotels, but this was a pretty good compromise).

Fine hotel in an excellent location
The Marie Rodos is well maintained and has very nice furnishings. Even as a single traveler they gave me a large room with a view out to the Aegean. There was an excellent breakfast buffet with a large variety of choices. The location could not have been better. The hotel was just across the street from the Casino and close to the beach. From the hotel you could walk to the old fortified city in less than fifteen minutes with it's ages of history and excellent restaurants. The harbor from which the tour boats leave for island excursions is even closer than the old city and makes a very interesting walk on the way to dinner. I could not have been more pleased with the hotel and the very helpful staff.
