Fantastic property in a quiet, secluded location!
The property is fantastic, tucked away for perfect peace & quiet. Very well equipped & extremely clean. The views are wonderful & itā€™s a 2 minute walk to the estuary which is great for collecting shells & Skimming stones. The pool is sufficiently heated to make it pleasant in hot weather. The beaches beyond the estuary are very clean and safe and only a 5 minute drive away. We worried about check in as other reviews had mentioned that with not speaking French it was a problem. This is not the case at all. Although not fluent, Marjorie can converse and she is the most wonderful, accommodating host. Nothing is too much trouble. We vacated the house in the early hours of the morning and she arrived with a smile to wave us off. Fantastic week in a perfect holiday home. Thankyou x

Lovely property.
Unfortunately the beach was miles away & not within walking distance. The sea view is an inlet that goes to mud. There were no bars or restaurants within walking distance except for one bar which opened from 10-2pm & 4-10pm. The restaurants that u had to drive to were only open until 2pm then 7-9pm for food. Where the property is situated, It was like visiting a ghost town. Would never go there again.

Calm setting - beautiful modern house - centrally located to explore all of Brittany
We were very happy during our five night stay in this lovely house. It is perfectly located on the bay, and when you are on the property you cannot see any other homes - very private, yet you are within walking distance of town. Since the house is brand new it had a sparkling clean feeling and the kitchen was well equip with all the cooking essentials. We found the caretaker (Sandrine) very helpful and friendly. HINT...It is best to arrive during the daylight as the house, while only about 35 meters off the main road, is tucked away and might be challenging to find at night. There are so many places to explore in Brittany and this home is well situated on the southern shore - we drove all over - to the most western shore (past Brest) and north to St. Malo. We thought the coastal area of Brittany quite charming. The water is warm for swimming even in September. If you love delicious food, we recommend Allium in Quimpier for lunch midweek (excellent one star menu for under 30 euro) and don't miss the charming town of Port Louis just 15 minutes from the house. Great running paths all around the house, and a good area to go bicycle riding -- definitely would return - a great vacation spot.

Great place but not a good start
This is a fantastic villa, however when we arrived I telephoned the person I was told to and was told that they weren't expecting us until the following day, and then she hung up on me. Eventually we managed to speak to her and say we are definitely arriving today, there had been some confusion in communication with her and the owner. The wifi, tv and DVD player were not working. The DVD player never worked and the wifi was back mid week. Even though I continually expressed that we didn't care about the wifi or tv we just would like the DVD working so the children could watch a film when they woke up early nothing was ever done about it. At the end of the week a man came and installed smoke alarms throughout the property which was nice to know they were there but worrying to think there were none for most of our week there! Communication with the owner wasn't great as they do not live close by you have to communicate with the lady who runs the place. I have no doubts that if we were French then the communication would not have been so bad, as the lady spoke no English which was fine as we speak enough French to get by but just a warning if you are English and book this villa. The pool was great however I would think that to say it was 'heated' was an exaggeration, it's tepid. Overall a lovely place to stay just a shame about the not very good welcome and lack of DVD player.

Fantastische locatie met prachtig uitzicht het water. Alleen jammer dat we het zwembadwater niet warmer kregen dan 23,5Ā°C, wat toch wat te fris is om tijdens een zomerse dag in te gaan. De kindjes van 5 en 6 hadden het daardoor snel koud.

Maison bien situĆ©e, au calme avec un jolie vue sur la petite mer de Gavres. Grande plage accessible en voiture et pas mal dā€™activitĆ©s aux alentours. La maison est fonctionnelle et agrĆ©able pour 2 familles. Le seul point nĆ©gatif Ć©tait la propretĆ© laissant Ć  dĆ©sirer, et la maison qui est un peu trop encombrĆ©e, notamment la cuisine et lā€™arriĆØre cuisine (ce qui joue trĆØs certainement sur la capacitĆ© Ć  faire le mĆ©nage Ć  fondā€¦) Piscine plus petite que lā€™impression quā€™on sā€™en fait sur les photos.

Wir haben es bereut
Das Haus war halbherzig gesƤubert (z.B. Toiletten hatten wir nach gereinigt) obwohl wir stolze 150ā‚¬ fĆ¼r die Reinigung bezahlten. Weiterhin ist der Wartungszustand mangelhaft. Die schƶnen Fotos im FeWo Internet sind schon viele Jahre alt. Die LiegestĆ¼hle sind schon so stark verrostet, dass die Gelenke gebrochen sind. Der Boden ist so ekelhaft verwittert und voller Vogelkot, dass man nicht darauf barfuƟ laufen will. Die weiƟen Polster sind verdreckt und von Schimmel befallen. Die Box beim Pool ist defekt, undicht und voll mit GerĆ¼mpel unter vielen Spinnweben. Deswegen haben wir die Terrasse und Pool nur sehr selten benutzt. Der Grill war so verdreckt, dass wir ihn nicht nutzten. Die Kaffeemaschine ist undicht und verkalkt. Eine verkalkte Duscharmatur gibt kein kaltes, sondern nur heiƟes Wasser. Es gab noch viel mehr MƤngeln und die drĆ¼ckten die Stimmung. Das Unangenehmste war aber die Konflikte mit dem Besitzer und der Kontaktperson vor Ort. Uns wurde unterstellt wir hƤtten das Pool sabotiert. Mit solchen absurden Beschuldigungen mussten wir uns auseinandersetzen. Wir wurden als LĆ¼gner bezeichnet. GlĆ¼cklicherweise hatten wir gleich bei der Ankunft Fotos gemacht und konnten damit unsere Unschuld beweisen. Nach der Abreise wurde uns unterstellt, wir hƤtten das Pool Ć¼berchlort. TatsƤchlich war der pH-Wert die ganze Zeit zu tief und baten um Justierung, was nie passierte. Der Besitzer lebt 6 Zeitzonen weit weg, spricht nicht englisch und lehnte faktenbasierte Kritik ab.

Quel bonheur!
Superbe grande maison moderne, avec magnifique vue sur bras de mer, trĆØs bien entretenue, bien conƧue et bien pensĆ©e. On s'y sent comme Ć  la maison! GĆ©rante de la maison extrĆŖmement gentille et efficace en cas de besoin. PrĆ©voir un peu de marche pour les 1ers commerces aux environs ou des vĆ©los (superbe rĆ©gion Ć  visiter).
