Welcome to Stone Ledge Refuge with views and a private hot tub!

This one-of-a-kind property showcases stunning valley views, a private hot tub, a perfect location, and plenty of space for you and your family! You and your family will love to gather in the cozy living room for group movie nights, sit on the porches, and watch the sunsets, or enjoy swinging on our porch swing! In the winter, you can gather around the stacked stone fireplace in the sizable window-filled room. When hunger strikes, head into the well-appointed kitchen to prepare delicious meals together. Dine at the table fit for seven.

There are three total levels to this home. Downstairs you will find the primary suite and sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is located in the downstairs living room. The middle level features the living room, kitchen, dining room, and second deck access. On the top floor, you will see bunk beds to use for additional sleeping space.

In addition to the beautifully crafted interior of this home, you will also find two breathtaking decks. These decks boast spectacular views of the valley, a porch swing, and a hot tub. The deck is covered so that it can be enjoyed rain or shine, and because the cabin is located in the woods, you can enjoy your privacy for a truly peaceful getaway.

This property overlooks the bluff of Lookout Mountain and is a short drive to Chattanooga TN, St Elmo,  Cloudland Canyon State Park, and the flight park!

Absolutely Incredible view!
My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary last month and absolutely loved it. We've stayed in the Chattanooga area several times in the past and I can guarantee that you won't find a more incredible view anywhere! This is a very nice home, literally on the edge of a cliff. It overlooks a beautiful green valley where small aircraft tow hang gliders right in front of you and then release them. Very cool. The view from both decks and house is just like looking out of an airplane window. Plus, a nice big hot tub to take in the sunset! It's very private and not too far from DG or town. We like to be outdoors and there are some excellent hiking trails close by that we really enjoyed. We will definitely be coming back, thank you!

Nice Cabin with Incredible Views
Cabin had everything our family needed. Secluded lot with no neighbors, yet close to town and all kinds of places to explore. Views are incredible and you can watch the hang gliders all day. Would definitly stay here again !

Beautiful place!! Lots of light bulbs out, lots of screens missing, broken couch, not enough outside furniture for deck space, folding outdoor chair broke. Kitchen dishes mostly chipped and cooking pans very poor condition, bathroom sink soap pump broke. Hot tub was very nice.

Girl trip
We have been doing a girl trip for 20ish years and we decided this time to go to Chattanooga and the place we stayed was awesome!! The wind unfortunately was so crazy we couldn’t sit on the deck or get in the hot tub but we had a blast just hanging inside and catching up ! The beds were great and the place was so comfortable!! It was so easy to get to and we went to have dinner in East Ridge! Just a great few days off !!

The house was easy to find and had an amazing view. The only issue we had was the drier, it would get hot, but not tumble. Quick text to management and they offered to fix it, but it wasn’t an issue for us. I’m sure it’ll be a quick and easy fix. Very fast internet!!! Which is a plus with kids. I recommend eating at 1885 and Massey’s !!!

Nice, short trip!
Really enjoyed the location, view, and home. For some reason the bottom floor smelt of sewage (could have been a dead animal outside the cabin) but we didn’t bring it up since we were only there one night. We brought three kids ages 2-9 and they loved the loft/bunk beds. Not as prepared for children as other vrbo’s (games available, high chair, pack n play etc). Just a call out for others who may have little ones. One strange thing I noticed in the rental agreement after booking is no alcohol is allowed in the house or on property and it specifically states they’ll look for evidence in trash bags. We didn’t have an issue with this policy (and maybe the owners don’t even know it’s in there), however sharing for awareness for any others who would enjoy a glass of wine at night. Overall we would return again!

Relaxing cabin vacation
We took a few days to unwind and relax. We literally never left the cabin for 4 days. We streamed videos, played board games and hung out in the hot tub. The views from the decks are amazing. There is a full kitchen so we were able to bake and cook all of our meals. This is our 5th time renting the cabin, and we will definitely be back again.

This rental was worth every penny. The giant windows and large decks gave us beautiful views of the landscape. Tbe location was great and it was easy to find. We had plenty of space. The propery was stocked with all the essentials. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get away for a bit.

Amazing View and Comfortable Cabin
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this home! The view is what sold me on the rental and it did not disappoint! It was amazing at all times of the day, but it was spectacular at sunset! The cabin itself was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed! There is a dip in the middle of the bed, but it was still comfortable! It was also really cool to be able to see hang gliders go by the property! I definitely recommend this rental and would stay here again!

The view
If you want a great view , don't miss this place. and intertainment to boot in the way of hang gliders on the weekend... But be prepared for stairs. A bit much for the elderly. The bed in the bedroom was soooo comfy. Housekeeping was great. Hot tub a plus.

I need to come here again!
The pictures don’t do this place justice. When you first get here, you have to go straight to the deck to take in the amazing view. This place really feels like a home and you feel a bit guilty that there isn’t a family living here permanently. It feels very cozy, very bright and warm because of all the windows and wood inside the house. It feels very secluded and private - you have only one neighbor, although you can’t see the house from this one. It’s a 15 minute drive to the nearest grocery store. Only three things that some people may not like: there aren’t any blinds/curtains for the upstairs windows, although I never felt like anyone would be able to see into the house. Also, if you’re staying here it makes more sense to buy groceries and cook most your meals, because of the drive all the way up and down the mountains to go into town - not to mention that it really is a small town with few restaurants that might not be that good (prices for groceries were pretty good!). Third - if you are a person of color, keep in mind the area you are in - you will most likely be the only non-white person wherever you go! I didn’t have any issues with feeling uncomfortable or singled out (everyone was nice and polite), but everyone’s experience will be different and this may make some uncomfortable. Everything worked exactly as it should, no issues with the fridge/AC/washer-drier etc. Host communication was great and timely! Pro tip: keep in mind that they don’t allow alcohol

High on Life
The cabin and location are amazing. Whether having coffee on the top deck in the morning or wine in the hot tub in the evening this place and the VIEW are amazing. There are many opportunities to watch hang gliders and paragliders since the launch is a few hundred yards up the scenic hwy... my wife was able to hang glide as well (tandem with a pilot)... if you're under 250# you can as well... we spent a couple days enjoying Chattanooga since it's roughly 15 miles away... lots to do and see but the cabin is the highlight.

The cabin was so warm and inviting that the moment you walked in you felt like you were home. The view puts in in a relaxed state as soon as you see it. Our hostess was beyond amazing and made sure everything was just perfect for our stay. We will be going back.

Mountain views & waterfalls!
The views from both decks are just AMAZING! So cool watching the clouds in the valley below in the mornings. And sunset is spectacular, especially from the hot tub. We really enjoyed watching the paragliders and hang gliders from the balcony. Great location for exploring Rock City, Chattanooga and Cloudland Canyon State Park (hike to Cherokee Falls is totally worth all the stairs). We also ventured about 45 minutes northwest near Jasper to Foster Falls where we were able to swim in the chilly water. It was so beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised by the local Canyon Grill. The food was all delicious and everyone was so friendly. So glad we gave it a try. The inside of this rental could use a little updating, but it was very clean and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. Overall we had a great stay and are thinking of trying to go back in the fall when the leaves change.
