Thereā€™s just not a lot of options in this area. The elevator doesnā€™t require you to swipe your hotel key to go up so security isnā€™t great. A strange man followed me up from the lobby to my floor and didnā€™t appear to be a hotel guest. Fortunately security was already on my floor dealing with another incident so they walked me to my room. Itā€™s a casino so everything is smoking. You will need to wash absolutely everything clean or dirty to get the smoke smell out of clothing that was in your luggage.

The room was clean and had all the amenities that you would expect like a mini frig, iron board/iron, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The casino was nice, clean, and newer slots. I was not happy that while we went down to breakfast they deactivated our room keys even though check out was not till 11.

It is just a night and day experience between Gold Strikeā€™s hotel and their very close neighbor Horseshoe. I will never stay Horseshoe again. I will see music at Horseshoe, but to stay the night Gold Strike will always be my choice! Clean, safe, and comfortable. Great view of the river. Beautiful sunset!!!

The facility is in decent shape compared to the surrounding casinos. One thing that I did not like was the pool. What a joke that one is. It's about big enough for 4 people!!!
