This property has a lot going for it. There's lots of comfortable. The dining room table is large and sturdy. The furniture is all new and good quality. The washing machine is very new and large. Nine people can stay here for fairly cheap.
There are some downsides:
-The hardwood floors are rough in places and so we didn't go barefoot during our three-night stay because we were afraid of splinters.
-In a similar vein, the floorboards on the stairs move down when you step on them so that the heads of the finishing nails stick up out of the stairs. This was unnerving at first, but we got used to it. It's also easily fixed, which we hope the host does.
-This house does NOT have a dishwasher, despite one being listed as an amenity.
-Maybe related to the last point: there are very few dishes. There were four bowls, for example.
-Our kids found a blueberry and a toy car under the couch in the living room, neither of which were ours.
-The shower head was loose, which made it just hang down (as opposed to being posable) and adversely affected water pressure.
-The neighborhood...looks rough. I don't know if it is or not. We didn't spend much time walking around the neighborhood, but when we did, we didn't have any problems.
-There was a problem at check-in when the last four digits of neither of our phone numbers unlocked the door as they were supposed to, but the host was immediately available to solve the problem when called.
In all, we enjoyed our stay and were comfortable.
