Elk Haven, a dog friendly cabin nestled in Cave Hollow, embodies the natural environment of the Red River Gorge. Surrounded by native trees, mountain laurel, fern covered boulders, and a towering 100ft rock face, you will experience the true beauty of this area. Start your day with a cup of coffee as you sit back in your rocking chairs on the wrap-around deck. After a long day of hiking, relax in the hot tub on the private back deck. Enjoy spending time around the fire pit or inside playing board games and the classic arcade. The cabin has one private bedroom (queen bed) and a loft bedroom (two queen beds) that can accommodate up to 6 people. For digital entertainment, Wi-Fi is available throughout the property or log in the smart TV to access your favorite shows and movies. Located about 10 minutes from the Mountain Parkway and 5 minutes from Natural Bridge State Resort Park, Elk Haven is positioned perfectly for your adventures.
Cave Hollow is a limited access area that requires front wheel drive for access and is not motorcycle friendly. Cabin is on well water and recommend bringing bottled water for drinking.

Great stay with my daughter
My teen daughter and I have gone on many road trips staying in cabins and this was one of our favorites! We love the Red River Gorge and this was a perfect place to stay and enjoy the area. Great hiking and eating nearby, including good restaurants with vegetarian options. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was awesome after hiking. We had a great time.

The lady at the front desk was probably the nicest person I've ever met in my life. Everything was clean and worked. The area is beautiful and there's plenty to do. If you take anything away from this review, pack plenty of drinking water before you come.

This cabin is everything you want! Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, super clean & a hot tub! Everything was great & we will come back to stay! We also really loved the games & game table upstairs. The cabin is also really well-situated, not far from town or the trails. The road in is bumpy & we were thankful for my AWD getting in.

Wanna stay forever!!!!
This cabin is beautiful and it's such an idyllic location, when we first arrived, we were already in love with it. After spending a night, we wanted to stay forever. The property is gorgeous, and the cabin makes you feel as though you are at home. We will definitely be back next year, and I hope this cabin is available then. Wanted to give a quick shout out to the property owners and say thank you for allowing us to stay there, and thank you for having such a beautiful place! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nice Place in the Woods
Driveway is treacherous unless you have the proper vehicle to get up to the cabin. It's a one way drive. Not sure the write up mentioned video surveillance or not - wasn't a fan of being watched 24/7. Nice cabin, clean, hot tub was great. Take a sharp knife with you - the ones they have are all dull. Ended our visit a day early because of the driveway - just became too much after a few days.

This location is quiet and beautiful. The road up is challenging. Four wheel drive is best but the location is amazing with great views right off the front porch. Bird singing every morning. Just the peace needed to restore the soul. :-)

Epic location!
Book it!!! Location is right in the middle of everything amazing! We stayed in the Elk Haven cabin it was the perfect size for our group of 4, you could sleep more if needed. Water is not potable (drinkable) but we knew that going in. Hot tub was great and very clean. Kids loved the games, such a great touch. We did have a fire pit outside, wood was available for purchase at check in. I would recommend 4 wheel drive to get in to the cabin area as it is up some steep gravel 1 lane roads; in my opinion this just added to the experience but I can see how that may be intimidating. There is WiFi and TV but we never used it so I can’t comment on that. It was quite and very relaxing. Fishing and swimming area just 5 or so mins drive away. Underground gorge adventure also just 5 mins or so away; that’s a do not miss! Natural Bridge and many other hiking trails all over the area.

The property was exactly as advertised and we had a great time bringing in the new year in RRG. Only complaint we had was the hot tub being dirty. It was obvious this was due to dirt being tracked in from the deck. You're in the woods though so what do you expect. Didn't bother us enough to complain. My only suggestion is the owner drain that thing every once in a while and keep the deck debris free. We were told at check in that the cleaning crew was short handed. Overall great stay and I believe they did the best they could with the crew they had. We'll be back for sure!

It was a great place to rent! It felt like you were in a tree house, with it being so high on the hill. The hot tube was wonderful after hiking all day. If we get a chance to come back to the area, I will definitely see if it’s available again.

Great place but needs a little cleaning
Excellent overall. Great location and great for kids. It does need a little better cleaning though. Seems like no one sweeps under furniture or beds and there was dog hair in one of the beds so that tells me sheets and blankets may have not been washed. Not horrible though and I would stay there again.

Family Mini Vacation
This was a great little cabin. My wife and I and our son and a friend enjoyed a weekend away right in the heart of the Red River Gorge. It's a great location, close to so many of the great opportunities you will find in RRG. We were glad we had 4 Wheel drive getting to the cabin, especially coming in at night and finding the cabin. Great location, private, up on a hill, but very nice. This is a great place for any small family to enjoy.
