Overall a good hotel for the money. It is 20-30 minutes from the center normally which may be negative. It was clean and good size room for my family of 4 with 2 bathrooms. I do not think A/C was working properly so it was a hotter than expected night. Tye bar, restaurant area is nice, we did not use the pool though.

Nice front desks and very helpful. But hotel needs renovation. Our room had molds and it was very dusty, which made it very uncomfortable. It took a while for our requests to be completed as well, like extra towels. I had an incident as well when a staff just suddenly opened the door without knocking while I was changing. Needs a lot of improvement.

Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay. My small complaint would be the AC in the room is set to 23C and cannot be lowered. The room was warm at night, therefore difficult to sleep comfortably. With that being said, the front desk and restaurant/bar staff are amazingly helpful, nice, and courteous. The pool was an added bonus. We had a restful stay before leaving Rome.

Knowing that the hotel is a part of Barcelo group, I had much higher expectations. Our check in time was 4 pm, we reached a little earlier about which we mentioned to the hotel and requested in advance if they could give us a room a little earlier because we are traveling with our 6 years old daughter. Once we reached the hotel, we came to know that the room is not ready and should be ready in about an hour or so. We reached the hotel at around 1:30 pm. We decided to go to the one and only coffee shop at the hotel, we had a coffee and some snacks. Came back upstairs at around 3 and the lady at the reception said the room is getting ready and should be ready in some time. To cut the ling story short, we were give. The room exactly at 4 pm, and in between me and my wife had several trips to the reception for the same purpose. Meanwhile, the reception staff’s shift changed and a different person came. Once we got the room, we requested the personnel at the reception if he could send our luggage to the room and he said someone will bring it. We went to the room and left the room in about 10 minutes to explore the city. Upon returning at night, we were surprised to see that our luggage had not been sent to the room, I went downstairs to the reception and asked the same guy and he said I can take the luggage myself. “The hotel claims it is a 4 star hotel”. The hotel does not have any tea or coffee making facility in the rooms, so please make sure you make your own arrangements.

The property was very nice, safe & secure. The room was clean, accommodating and nice. The balcony was an added plus. The staff was very helpful, attentive and respectful. They helped me with all my requests and I just want to thank each and everyone for making my stay at the Midas Hotel a pleasurable experience. The only drawback I found was the location. It wasn't close to the center of Rome, where I spent most of my time. Traveling to and from the location proved to be a little expensive by taxi after a while, however, the front desk staff helped me to find public transportation to and from the center Rome. That in itself was a unique experience. A person will get to see how everyday life is in that part of Italy. Overall, I had a wonderful time in Rome, Italy. Staying at the Midas Hotel was very nice indeed. Once again, Thank You All for making my stay pleasurable. I would recommend your hotel to anyone traveling to Rome, Italy.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before flying back home. The reason for not scoring higher was because the room was very warm and never cooled down. The same with the little fridge in the room. The drinks were not cold enough after a couple of hours..

Do not book here! They turn the ac off in the middle of the night til late afternoon letting you suffocate from the heat! Yet the reception is ice cold and ac does not get turned off. They only care about themselves and not their customers. No window to open. When we asked for the balcony to be opened they said no! If you can’t handle heat don’t book here. My 7 year old refused to go in the pool to the amounts of bugs inside the pool. They don’t give u water everyday you have to ask reception for it and they are soooo rude about it!!! I should not have to ask for water in my room in a so called 4 star hotel! This was beyond the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! No kettle to make tea or coffee. No help with what to do in Rome! They sent us across the hill to ask another hotel and they were so angry because they also apparently do this to them. They have no customer service what so ever. Very disappointed!!
