The staff was amazing. I was able to get up in the morning and go out for a bit while my wife and daughter were sleeping. When I got back, the ladies would make the requisite cappuccinos, and my lovelies were overjoyed.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful building. Federico, front desk was simply fantastic. I was working from the hotel I went to buy water and asked if they were selling anything and he felt bad when he said they did not. He noticed that I could not leave as needed to work so he gave me his own peach!! I replaced it later but such a great gesture. The room was big w/ AC. The bathroom was small but clean. Small elevator / lift but enough to go go up with luggage to the 3rd floor where the hotel is. The hotel was close to the sites & the main train station. Will definitely consider going back.

Hotel Oceania is a good family-run hotel. We were there for a few days and the staff who run the hotel is great. Keep in mind this hotel is on the 3rd floor and the elevator is slow so I wouldn’t recommend bringing a huge luggage to a site like this. The hotel could improve the wifi speed to help travellers who may need to use the internet at night time for checking into flights or looking up sites etc. It was really slow and frustrating at times to use. The rooms are little dated and could use a refresh, but they are clean and the AC works well in the rooms. The cleaning staff kept turning our AC off in the day so keep in mind it’ll be a bit warm when you get back and you will have to turn it back on. But when it is on, it’s very good! I found the area it was in to be okay - I may have wanted to be a bit more in the central downtown but for the price it’s a very reasonable area.

We just returned from a one week stay at the Hotel Oceania and would recommend it to anyone looking for a more casual, friendly experience with wonderfully kind staff and rooms that are cozy and comfortable in an historic building that exudes the charm of Italy! Throughout our entire stay, from the private transfer they so kindly booked to meet us at the airport upon arrival (we emailed them before our trip to request this service), to being welcomed by the owners and front desk staff after a long day of travel, to the 24/7 availability of a friendly face for tourist tips or the offer of a cold bottle of water, to the genuine smiles and farewells from all the staff before checkout, we felt we had made the right decision with the Hotel Oceania. Our room was small but we found we still had plenty of room for two of us and it was spotlessly clean (as others have said, the shower is tiny but manageable). There was also a small fridge for keeping our own cold drinks or some small snacks purchased at a nearby grocery store. The AC was spectacular and such a relief to come back to each day. We only had the breakfast on the first and last days as we wanted to explore other options for food. There are many amazing restaurants within a short walk down quaint side streets. We could walk to many of the main attractions within 20 minutes and the Metro was 5 mins away! *As an added FYI, there is a lift to the hotel on the 3rd floor but be prepared to walk up if it is out of service.

Everything was lovely except the elevator didn’t work for the first few days and there is 170 steps to our floor, and construction on first floor so limited space. As a person with a health issue this limited my access to the room as unable to climb multiple times in 1 day without pain. Customer service was great snd staff very helpful, but again elevator a big deal

Fantastic location, staff were so friendly and helpful. I was greeted at the door by name and after 19+ hours of travel, our room was ready and waiting. We will definitely stay again when next in Rome. Shout out to Mario and the rest of the staff for providing us with such amazing customer service.

The hotel owner and staff are welcoming and helpful. The location is an easy walk to the Uffizzi and Vecchio bridge. The room was spacious, including the bathroom. I would absolutely stay here again.

I wish they had a 4 1/2 rating. The room was a bit small with no chairs just a bed, tiny desk, stool and armoire. The window couldn’t close completely so keeping the room cool in 98 degrees was a challenge plus the gap allows some street noise. But it’s very clean and the people are nice and for the price it’s a cute little hotel

The staff were very helpful, especially Mario and the cleaning staff who helped us check in early. And Mario gave us a really good orientation of the sights to see in the area. This week was EXTREMELY hot (95-105F) and the A/C in the rooms was a welcomed respite.
