The property was situated in a good location but the room we received was not the one we expected. We booked a standard double room, as we do a most places, and expected a decent size room with a normal bed.
The room they gave us did not have a separate bathroom -- to be clear there was toilet, sink, and shower stall but they were just baked into the wall with thin curtain separating them from the rest of the room -- i've been to hotels with small bathrooms, but this one was ridiculous as the toilet was 1 ft away from the edge of the bed, and the bathroom stall and shower stall were soo small. As a 6ft individual I could not even bend over in the shower. Not to mention the lack of privacy. This was not specified in the Room description when we were booking.
The bed was the other ridiculous aspect -- it was a circular double bed. How can two people possible sleep on a circular double bed comfortably without their feet falling off the bed. Again, this was not stated anywhere when booking.
The AC also does not work and there is no way to change the settings because they blocked off all the buttons so all you can do is turn it on and off -- our room got so hot.
The concerning part is that this property is not receptive to any negative feedback and seems to attack guests to share any -- you don't have to take my word for it, just take a look at their Google Reviews and notice how rudely they respond to those who share any negative feedback.
Overall would not recommend

They have asked for a refund via Expedia several times, and after several negative responses, here is their review. They stayed 3 nights here at WRH Trastevere, and I saw them every morning, asking them as usually do, how it was going. Everything is fine, they said. They could have said that the room wasnt good and we could have tried to find a solution together, I could have looked for another place and charged them only for the first night. But as usual people do not talk, do not ask, they prefer to complain later rather than find a solution in the moment, or maybe sleep in the moment and ask for a refund later, in this case. The round bed is very popular here, and it is a 200 cm bed. It is a modern design room, some like it some don't, I can understand that, but as said they could have talked about it while they were here. the airconditioning is working fine, every room have a personal panel to control it, and outside was less than 20 at night If the situation was so terrible, why to stay here the 3 nights? Not a single euro will be given as a refund, I said, they slept for 3 nights in Trastevere, in the center of Rome..I will reply on google as well, but please put your name on, instead of a nick name.Luigi

The location of this site is great! And the staff is very friendly and helpful! However the room was extremely hot and the AC is on a fixed position. We had a very uncomfortable night with the room temperature.

with the 36 outside (97) and 22 inside It must have been really terrible. I understand. Life is so hard. There are homeless people right around the corner sleeping on the streets..

This property is nothing like the website in Expedia, I asked for hotel and it is no a hotel is an apartment that they rent every room.
Needs and update and cleaning. No elevetor.
Nobody is there after 12 pm. You have to loock for the keys. The air conditioner is not function properly. The bed and pillow uncomfortable.
The only good is Mr Luigui is worry and help you about the transportation. But there are in the property por a limite time.

Every few months, we have guests like you who have no idea what they have booked, they don't read any information present anywhere online (incredible in 2024) we have to spend hours and hours to find out what time they arrive, how they arrive, and use a lot of our time to find them a transport because they are not able to organize themselves and they don't even know where we are. Only because they don't read. You asked for a hotel, you wrote, I would like to know who you askedLook here, first line on our expedia page:WRH TrasteverePet-friendly Rome townhouse accommodation, so no one told you that we are a large hotel with 80 rooms.Go a little further down and here it is:Upper floors accessible by stairs onlyOne more effort, you can do it!Limited-hour front deskIn the end I would much rather not have your few euros but have back the time I waste helping you. Take careLuigi

I really like the location of this property. It’s walkable to a lot of restaurants, shops etc.
The place is clean. Luigi is really nice and friendly. My only complaint is that the airconditioning is not very cold.

Ciao Liza, thank you for your comment, You were all very nice too. I took a quick look at the air conditioning panel which as you have seen is in every room, and it was set to fan not ac. Once again we kindly ask everyone to talk to us during your stay. You stayed here 5 nights. Take care. Arrivederci

This property was adequate for our 2 night stay. It was one large room with 2 single beds and 1 queen bed. It was clean and in a great location with many restaurants, cafes, and attractions near by.
The accommodation itself was very basic and didn’t have any real climate control so we left the window ajar at night to keep the place cool. The trade off was keep the window closed and sweat all night, or open it to keep cool but listen to all the street noise all night long.
I would recommend this if you are on a budget and only staying a night or two in Rome for sure.

"The trade off was keep the window closed and sweat all night, or open it to keep cool but listen to all the street noise all night long" No James, there is also another option, Talk. I asked you every morning how it was going, if you need information, etc. you always answered no, everything is ok.. Since you didn't see the info for the WIFI the other day, you probably didn't find the air conditioning control present in every room. I can understand that you didn't see it, but please don't say it wasn't there, that's not correct. Fortunately, in this period we are very lucky, it's 15 degrees (59 for you) at night and in the morning, I don't understand why you insist on wanting air conditioning? Do you think that air conditioning comes from the top of the mountains? no James, I'll tell you what, it comes from metal and plastic pipes made cold by a gas. You should thank me for extending your life. Lastly, the review below yours comes from a couple who stayed at WRH for 5 nights. Take care, ciao.
