At True North Cabin Rentals we have 5 cabin’s together with nice lake views from the 1 acre resort property. Cabin #3 is an open loft, two bedroom, one bath cabin for rent at beautiful Higgins Lake that sleep 10. Included you will find a 1 queen bed in each bedroom, 2 full & 1 twin beds in the loft, couch, tv/dvds, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans linens, towels and everything else you will need for your fun filled summer vacation, along with a fire pit, BBQ grill, hammock and horse shoes. A nice shallow sandy beach and Public dock just steps from the cabin. The Silver Dollar Bar just one block up the street and party store less than a mile away. Cabin is located at 129 Thorpe Ave. Higgins Lake MI. Pontoons, Fishing & Ski Boats, Jet Skis, Paddleboards, Kayaks, ATVs, Scooters, and UTVs available for rent at a discounted price for all renters through GO FAST Rentals that is also one block away.

Beautiful Location and Place
We had a large group of friends in multiple houses for a long weekend. This house was perfect for what we needed, we didn't entertain just sleep and shower and hang out for a little but between activities. I would say chances are great that we return for a yearly trip visiting some residents that live in the area. The lake and surrounding areas are fun and the cleaner then anyone could imagine. Amazing spot to visit in Michigan!

Perfect place to stay near Higgins Lake
Ths place is a gem! We had a wonderful stay. We stayed in Cabin 3. The kids loved the loft area for sleeping. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Everything in the kitchen was in good shape - which is rare for a rental. The cabin was clean and recently renovated. We had plenty of towels. There was also a nice assortment of DVD, games and books for rainy days. You can tell the owner is around and taking care of things. Each cabin has it's own firepit and hammock. We really appreciated some of the shared use items including some bikes and kayaks. The cabins are in a nice quiet neighborhood. I loved sitting on the porch in the morning and drinking coffee. There is water access a couple houses down. There is a small beachy area that is maybe a 5 minute walk. Both North and South Higgins State Parks are also just a short drive. The owner Jeremy was very helpful when I had any questions. I would definitely recommend any of the cabins at this location. We would rent again when returning to Higgins Lake.

My family and I came here to celebrate my mothers 60th birthday and it was a wonderful time the owners were extremely responsive gave us great ideas and things that we could do and made sure we had a wonderful time cannot wait to come back again!

Had a great stay at Jeremy’s cabin. Came up for a family reunion so had family in the other cabin next door which was nice. Had all the basics for a nice weekend stay. Lake only a few houses down & walking distance to the silver dollar restaurant.

We had a great weekend getaway for recreation and business seminar in the northen part of Lower Michigan. Family had plenty to do and had fun enjoying the cabin, Higgins Lake, and the surrounding area. If we get a chance to visit the area again, we hope to stay in Cabin #3 again and add on to family memories!

Looks like the cottage was very recently remodeled. Thoughtfully done; nice looking and clean. A suggestion for the owners: adding plenty of wall hooks near the entry doors, in the bathroom, and in the bedrooms would be helpful. Replace the small dressers in the bedrooms with bookcases; they’re tall and narrow, and they’ll provide more/better storage. Replace the semi-sheer bedroom curtains with opaque curtains, or add privacy film to the glass. More toilet paper; one roll per day of stay, perhaps. Pleasant, wooded neighborhood, with a pretty little swimming area just on the other side of the adjacent Amvets lodge. Road-end lake access, no overnight mooring. Boat launches nearby. Recommended!

Our stay was amazing! Jeremy and, the property was very accommodating to our needs. The beds are very comfortable and, as Hot of a weekend it was (90) the air conditioner allowed for comfortable sleeping for all. I would definitely like to return next summer.

It was a nice cozy cabin but the water pressure in the bathroom was bad all the time and it barely got warm and there was a smell in the bathroom so we had to open the window. There wasn't enough garbage bags, towels and we could have used another roll of toilet paper and there was no beach front as we had to walk over and down approximately 250 yards to get to a beach spot as there was an Amvet inbetween.

My child and I enjoyed a peaceful stay. Super clean and had everything you might need to feel like a home away from home. If you are looking for some time on the lake, I would recommend renting a boat from GO FAST Rentals, super nice as well! I would recommend these cabins to family and friends!

Clean cabin, great communication with the host. The cabin was listed as having A/C. Where I come from that means more than a wall furnace and ceiling fans. No Air Conditioning, but was not needed. The gas to the house was shut off, thus ruining our breakfast and wasting food/$$. The gas wasn't turned back on until later that afternoon, but hey, we were welcome to use another cabin's kitchen. Why he didn't just let us move to the other cabin, I have no idea, but I'd guess to save the owner's bottom line. Probably won't stay here again, not will I recommend to friends/family.

The cabin was super cute. Had all the amenities of home. The furnace warmed up quick after a long day playing in the snow. The shower is not set up for someone over 5'7, other then that it was perfect for our get away. We look forward to our next weekend get away in the area 😀
