The hotel is great!! Staff is very friendly. It’s been family owned for 120 years and you can tell they love it. Breakfast was amazing!! Location is great too. Definitely book this hotel. Unfortunately the Expedia pictures and descriptions of the quad room is not accurate.

Wonderful stay at the beautiful Hotel Markusturm in Rothenburg! From the moment we arrived we felt the magic of this magnificent town. The hotel is truly picturesque just as the rest of the town of Rothenburg! The employees are very welcoming and kind. Breakfast was just right. Unlike the other hotels we stayed in Bavaria, they serve the breakfast and deliver most anything to your liking. We had some laundry needing a wash. The hotel has a 24 hour laundry service. They delivered our fresh clothing to our room within a day. We highly recommend staying at this comfortable and perfect location within the city walls of Rothenburg!

Beautiful building in a perfect central location. Comfortable room with spectacular bathroom. Service was poor overall. My wife and I were not made to feel welcome from check-in which was consistent throughout our stay. If you do not much care for hospitality, I would recommend. If you are looking for more effort, there are many other central options.

Perfection!!! We had the deluxe quadruple suite, room 101 and it was amazing! The breakfast which is included with room was beautiful and there was plenty to eat. The location is in the middle of the beautiful town of Rothenburg. It is a short and easy walk from the train station. The hotel is full of antiques and the historic building is a treat to stay in. Try to have dinner in the restaurant the food is very good! Also, try and stay at least two nights. The town is great to walk around before and after the tour buses arrive and leave.

Beautiful charming hotel, steeped in history, in a fantastic location. Delicious breakfast served each morning by the owner. Loved our spotlessly clean family room with little courtyard. I wish I had booked an extra night. We will definitely have to return.

Absolutely charming and full of history
Absolutely charming historic hotel with amazing staff! We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the history of the place. This hotel has quite the story behind it and still contains part of the original wall that was built around the city (that was later torn down to expand). Very convenient and wonderful. If driving get directions prior to arrival, our GOS tried to bring us in on a one way street and was a little stressful.

The Hotels location is right around the corner from the market place. You can walk to everything real easy. The room was excellent. The car got parked and brought back as needed. Excellent service, because of all the extremely narrow streets. . The staff is very friendly. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

We just enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful Hotel in the heart of the Old Town and within walking distance to the Marketplatz and main sights. The view from the room looked out to the street and tower. Continental breakfast was delicious. The only negative was the slow wifi.

Excellent place. We all enjoyed the room. Everyone was very courtesy. Only thing is you have to unload in an area where cars are going down a very small street. This is normal for an older area. After u load you do need to drive the hill and park. Very close so that’s great. The area has exclusive shopping and so many areas to get food. Just make sure you make reservations. I suspect most places are delicious, I know ours was
