Little Bear Cottage-3 blocks from the lake!

Come enjoy the fully renovated little Bear cottage in Russell’s Point just a few blocks from the water (3 blocks from the spillway), less than a mile from restaurants, 20 minutes to the ski resort, and a short trip to the beach for swimming and the boat dock. (Closest boat ramp is Moundwood 1.9 miles away) Little Bear Cottage is only 520 square feet but every inch has been remodeled and redecorates as modern farmhouse with a masculine touch. There is a queen bed in each of the two bedrooms. Enjoy the over stuffed overly warn leather sofa, farmhouse kitchen sink, and abundance of pillows and comfort. You will not be disappointed with the charm and details of our quant cottage. There is a huge outdoor deck with a propane fire table for relaxing and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows at night. A propane grill is on the front deck also.

The cottage is located about 3 blocks from a couple great fishing spots that can be reached on foot or driving.

The kitchen is equipped with an apartment sized stove and fridge, a coffee maker, microwave, and cooking essentials. We provide pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, bottle opener, knives, cutting boards, salt and pepper. On the coffee car we have at least two types of coffee with creamer, sugar, and low calorie sweetener.

Each of the two bedrooms has a queen sized bed. These rooms are tight with about 20 inches on each sized of the bed. We have many hooks no the walls to hang bags and clothing.

The only heat source is an open propane heater In the living room. It warms the cottage up fast and extremely warm if needed but I’m the heater can get HOT. Caution with touching or having small children near it to avoid burns.

The cottage has a window A/C unit and multiple fans. At just over 500 square feet, the A/C unit keeps it cool and comfortable.

The driveway is a total length of 42 feet and gravel. There is no guest access to the garage.

We love to offer a place for families to bring their dogs! We want you to enjoy your entire family on vacation, so bring your fur babies. We have a one time $50 fee for dogs to stay. (Up to 2 dogs)

Stay was enjoyable, but unfortunately the photos were deceiving. The beds and bathroom looked particularly unkept. The bedroom had no doors making it feel very unprivate. On the second night of our stay, we were cooking in the kitchen and a cockroach climbed across the counter. Overall I wouldn’t recommend to anyone considering booking, but it did serve its purpose for a little getaway.

Property is a short walk, drive or bike ride to the Indian Lake Spillway Area and also the Root Beer Place.. We enjoyed bonfire in evening and eating on deck with the fire table. Super nice neighbors.

Great little hideaway close to the lake!
We met two adult children for a Father's Day trip for dad and this place fit the bill! Cozy beds and thanks for the treats at check in! Super cute kitchen, very clean and plenty of outdoor space to admire the fireflies in the evening. A short walk to the lake was nice to strech ourlegs afterthe car trip. Very quiet neighborhood, nothing weird or concerning.

Let down
Was not very appealing compared to the pictures that were shown. Felt like there was no privacy. Neighbors close all around and the blind in my bedroom was broken. Felt like the rooms needed curtains. Just felt like someone could be watching at all time. Found little hairs (like dog hair) on my sheets and pillows. The owner seemed nice though but wished they would have reached out to me more to keep me in the loop on where the location was and how to get in. I had to search for the address.

A bit more rustic than I expected
We checked in and the automatic lock was not functioning. I called Wesley and he picked up right away. He told me that he would not be able to get to it until the following day. It was loud so that was. disappointing. He did share another way to get in though. The house is not well-maintained and is very small. The neighborhood is quiet but run down and not close to anything to do. We ended up not staying the night as my cousin has a house close by. I would pay more and stay closer to the lake. Wesley was great about responding to my questions. If you are just looking for a place to crash, this is it but not much beyond that.

Indian Lake Cottage
The property was as advertised and anticipated. Clean and the propane grill, propane lava rock table and fire pit were great! It was close to the lake, shops and restaurants and perfect for pour quick trip to the lake to explore the area, boat ride and do some fishing. Indian Lake is a great place to visit and vacation - we vacationed there years back in the 1970's and 1980's when O'Connors Landing with the cottages and Lodge was the place to go - miss it but still an awesome place!
