Terraced distinctive house renovated 75 m² for 4 people located in a nice quiet and relaxing town.

Ground floor: room / bed of 140 cms, bathroom with washing machine, shower and toilet.

Floor: a kitchen, a living room with SOFA - 140 cms bed, a television, stereo, wifi internet.

Mezzanine for a sitting area.

Small independent garden behind the house; lovely spacious terrace on the front. tables, chairs, barbecue chairs are available.

Sabadel Lauzès is in the middle of the lot. Thus, all visits are equidistant from the gite.

The Lot is a department full of curiosities to discover (boat rides on the lot, castles, caves, water park, and beautiful cities to visit as Cahors with its famous Valentré bridge, Rocamadour, and many other small villages of character as Saint Cirq and the famous Padirac.

This department also offers activities such as canoeing, hiking, swimming, not forgetting that the Dordogne (including Sarlat and Domme) is only 1 hour from Sabadel-Lauzés.

Good location for day trips in the area
Outside areas, terrace and small garden, had table and chairs and picnic table and were very nice. The charming village was very quiet except when the church bells tolled many times at 7:00 and 19:00. The kitchen lacked some cooking utensils (notably a spatula and cutting board) making it awkward to cook, but otherwise had everything you need. The steps into the WC and bath areas were a little tricky at night in the dark. The owners live just behind, but we rarely saw them. There is a decent market for shopping within about 15-20 minute drive.

Beautiful Cottage in a Wonderful Village
The cottage was everything we had hoped it would be, a beautiful cottage in a wonderful village. A perfect quiet retreat for us to base ourselves for the week, all the attractions we wished to visit were within an hours drive on mostly quiet lanes and roads. Isabelle and Lionel were on hand to meet us upon arrival and quickly welcomed us to the cottage, through the week we exchanged greetings and it was nice to know they were on hand if we had any issue, which there were none. Everything we needed was readily available at the cottage, the only slight issue was the lack of wine glasses but as we do we found alternatives which proved more than adequate. This is more a reflection of previous guest that the vendors, as people who break things should replace them! In summary we had a perfect week and enjoyed the area very much, if we return to the area again we will certainly explore the cottage availability again. Many thanks for the use of your cottage Isabella and Lionel.

Wonderful retreat in peaceful French village
We enjoyed our cottage in the peaceful village of Sabudel-Lauzes. The cottage was full of character and tastefully restored, and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the terrace in the evening overlooking the village and the church. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and nearby to help with any problems - not that there were any. The cottage was ideally located for visits to the magnificent Lot Valley, just a few miles away, and for visits to Cahors, Figeac, Rocamadour and Sait-Cirq-Lapopie. Cycle and kayak hire were available not far away and we had lovely days cycling in the Lot Valley and kayaking on the beautiful River Cele. There were lots of walking trails to explore too. We would love to return to this beautiful part of France.

Isabelle très accueillante, nous avons découvert des magnifiques villages dans la région. Heureusement pour nous que nous avons passé notre séjour à l'extérieur parce que le séjour au gîte n'était pas de tout repos les lieux sont remplis de toiles d'araignée, le lit n'était pas du tout confortable (à moitié cassé), le salon et de la cuisine étaient à l'étage (plus de 9 marches) pas du tout adapté pour les courses ect..., concernant la salle de bain il n'y avait pas de rideau de bain du coup on en mettait partout de l'eau, le jet d'eau de la douche ne donnait pas suffisamment et pour finir les toilettes étaient propres.

Très agréable séjour dans cette maison rénovée avec goût et dans un joli petit village très calme
Merci à Isabelle et Lionel qui nous ont gentiment proposé de participer à l'auberge espagnole organisée dans le village le soir de notre arrivée et ce fût très sympa. Le village est petit mais très mignon. La maison a été rénovée avec goût et vous avez 2 terrasses et des transats pour se reposer. Petit bémol il n'y a pas de partie congélateur dans le frigo et la télévision est très petite.

Der Uhu weckt dich
Sabadel ist ein kleines Dorf mit weniger als 100 Einwohnern. Man kann aus dem Haus die Nachbarn beim Boule Spielen beobachten. Das Haus selber liegt direkt an der Straße durchs Dorf, gefühlt kommen pro Tag 20 Autos vorbei. Der Besitzer hat das Haus in 3 Jahren harter Arbeit renoviert. Es ist etwas verwinkelt und hat eine steile Treppe, ist aber an sich schon ein Erlebnis, Die Lage von Sabadel ist super. In rund 40 km Entfernung liegen Rocamadur und Figeac, Abends kann man rund ums Dorf wandern. Vermisst habe ich das MTB - perfekte Gegend fürs Bike. Wenn man nachts aufwacht, ist das einzige Geräusch der Uhu und nicht der Frachtflieger über Köln. Ein Ort, um zu entspannen.

Le gite est bien situé dans un beau village en bord de rivière, dans un vallon du causse. On a apprécié le calme, les ballades à pied, la proximité des vallées du célé et du lot. Le gite est bien équipé, bien agencé, avec deux terrasses. On s’y sent vraiment bien.

Un endroit merveilleux
Nous avons passé quelques jours merveilleux dans la maison d’Isabelle et de Lionel, dans un village oublié du temps, au cœur de cette belle province du Quercy, si riche d’histoires. Le gîte est un havre de paix douillet d’où explorer tout ce que la région a à offrir et prendre le temps de respirer. Très bon séjour, la maison est agréable avec la chambre qui reste bien fraîche même en pleine canicule. Nous avons apprécié la propreté impeccable en arrivant et la fonctionnalité des équipements. Très belle surprise, nous avons un très bon séjour à Sabadel-Lauzes: emplacement au calme, dans un petit village charmant, à proximité de plusieurs sites d'interet dans la région. Gîte parfaitement équipé, très confortable, refait récemment tout en ayant préservé son authenticité, hotes charmants... Le petit plus: 2 terrasses de part et d'autre du logement, permettant de profiter du soleil le matin puis le soir !
