Relax, decompress, and unwind up in the trees at the edge of the Atlantic. Panoramic floor to ceiling windows wrap around the entirety of this unique treehouse. Wake up to the sunrise on one of three decks over-looking the marsh or simply sit and sip your coffee enjoying the spectacular view from the comfort of the couch. Smell the salty air waft up just feet from the back door. Watch the diversity of wildlife fly, sing, and prance right outside your window. The amazing pod deck can be enjoyed both day and night; surrounded by colorful flowers, string lighting, and comfortable adirondak chairs. Stand over the Marsh and step into the stars on the towering deck off the back the kitchen. Nap in the cool ocean breeze off the lower deck in a soft rope hammock. Two Bedrooms and two fully remodeled baths accompany an updated modern kitchen. TV's with streaming services in each room complete this perfect treehouse hideaway.

The Fripp Island crabbing dock is just a few steps down the road; it's the perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail. The beach is a just few minutes away in the golf cart (included with your stay). The island has over 30 beach access points; we encourage you to explore as many as you can.

This truly is a special place to enjoy seclusion and induce total relaxation. Whether it's for a family weeklong beach trip, a weekend couples retreat, or just a place to hideout for a few nights. Join the wildlife and tranquility at the edge of Fripp Island and let our home be your sanctuary.

A golf cart is provided at no additional charge to use with your stay. We do require you sign a golf cart agreement prior to using the cart.

Amenity cards are required to dine in the club restaurants, access the pools, and play golf on the island. We DO NOT offer amenity cards to our guests and there is not a way to purchase amenity cards. There are many wonderful restaurants off the island and in Beaufort we will happily recommend.

Fripp Island is a protected wildlife sanctuary. This means the island is home to many creatures such as alligators, birds, racoons, deer, and insects. We do our diligence to provide an experience that keeps our natural friends protected and our guests safe. Please keep your distance from wildlife and remember if you do encounter any of the above; we are all vacationing in their home on Fripp.

This is our home and we take pride it keeping it maintained. We would absolutely love for you to enjoy our little treehouse as much as we do. Our best efforts are put forth to ensure "Buried Treesure" is exactly what you need to create your perfect vacation.

Wonderful! We arranged accommodation here to visit our elder relative living at Fripp. My daughter and her family also rented a unit with Fripp. We were able to have dinner family reunions at this house with my husband's mother and my daughter , joining each night for dinner and games. She is 84. There were two grandchildren. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We felt at home. In addition 2 children were able to go below looking for crabs daily in the marsh. We also went crabbing at the nearby dock. The bikes provided were used along with ours for daily riding excursions with everyone. The golf cart aided in excursions to the beach for transporting items.Thank you for aiding us in reuniting with love ones, enabling us to entertain everyone, alleviating any stresses and worries we would have caused if we all crashed for get-togethers at my mother in laws. And she thoroughly enjoyed herself, adding daily to our get togethers by baking and cooking something daily for our get togethers.

Quiet and Quaint

The house is just as described in the listing. It's in a great location on the island where it is quiet, private, not too far from the entrance, but still just a short drive on the golf cart to a beach access. With the information from our host, it was easy to obtain our car pass from the gate when we first arrived. Having the golf cart ready at the house without the hassle of renting one was a HUGE plus. The layout of the house makes great use of its unique shape and it was the perfect size for us.We had everything we needed from beach gear to kitchen items to extra blankets. Not being able to get the passes was just fine for us. We enjoyed the beach and the restaurants right off the island - Beedos was our favorite! Check in was super easy and having the keypad instead of having to keep up with a key was very nice. Our host's clear communication and willingness to accommodate took our experience above and beyond. The marsh view was beautiful - we really enjoyed seeing the stars at night. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a laid back, easy, and beautiful trip to Fripp!

What an amazing place to vacation. The treehouse was beautiful. No detail was overlooked in preparing this home for our stay. When we arrived, soft music was playing on the TV that sat the vibe for the serenity of the home from the moment we opened the door. The floor to ceiling windows literally take your breath away throughout the home. I could have happily spent the entire trip on one of the decks soaking in the views and wildlife around me. The golf cart was a great way to tour the island and visit the available amenities. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to come back again!

Perfect Stay!

Excellent property, perfect for a small family or 2 couples. Has EVERYTHING you need and is very clean and updated. Very quiet secluded location with great views, but beach and amenities are just a short golf cart ride away. Host is very responsive and accommodating. Perfect stay.

Marsh paradise

From the time we walked in until we left was so wonderful and relaxing and just as advertised. The views so mesmerizing and accommodations were fun and sometimes you would think you were in the jungle with all the foliage out the bedroom windows. The only thing that wasn’t so good is that I had to leave. I only hope we can return to this wonderful place.

Everything was just as described and communication was excellent. Being out toward the end of the strip of land was very peaceful and abundant with wildlife. We also really enjoyed being able to get out by foot, bike, and cart to enjoy the beauty of the island and the beach. This is a spot we will put on our list to return to.

Lovely Views in the treehouse!

This is in a remote area on Fripp. It’s such a lovely location with gorgeous Marsh views. Don’t hesitate to book this property. We throughly enjoyed everything. We had a small issue with the golf cart but response time was instantaneous! I hope to stay again there next year!

Frippin' Amazing Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the house and our visit to Fripp Island. Very much enjoyed the peacefulness of the marsh after being at the ocean all day. Loved the golf cart rides around the island and meeting fantastic people along the way. A very refreshing trip! We had a state park pass (or you can buy daily or annual passes at the gate) so we went to Hunting Island State Park each day. Having access to a park with a great beach (feels private and tropical) for wake boarding and shark tooth hunting was a daily To-Do and its great beach to enjoy beach activities. Kitchen had all the items we needed to prepare all our meals. Beds were comfy, good water pressure, loved the different areas to lounge around the house (inside and out), and it was just enough space for a family of 3 (or 4). Its good to have to be close to each other on a family vacation to keep those great connections all day. Owner is great, easy to work with and very communicative which makes renting a breeze. Loved having the golf cart, a very nice amenity. We saw tons of wildlife from all kinds of birds and crabs (sea life) to dolphins, deer (tons of deer), racoons... You name it, if it's out there, you will probably see it. Enjoyed and will be back again. Thank you!

Bring your binoculars!

We really enjoyed our stay. We saw many species of birds and also deer while we relaxed in the evenings and mornings from both of the nice porches. Even though there are close-by houses you feel like there is privacy. The area is quiet and away from the busier part of Fripp which is a plus. The beds are comfortable. John was friendly and responsive and the instructions for the house are clear and easy to follow. We had fun exploring the island on the golf cart. We discovered The Kitchen which is a great place to get togo salads and things to cook for dinner so check that place out if you like to be home but not cook!

Treehouse paradise

I’ve always wanted to stay in one of the treehouses near the crab dock and I am so glad that we did! House was well stocked. Kitchen had everything one would need. Very clean and comfy beds, nice golf cart included. John was a joy to work with. I would recommend this house again and again. 10/10!!!

A little slice of paradise

Wonderful peaceful Oasis!

It was a wonderful stay!!! More peaceful and relaxing than any other VRBO listing we’ve ever rented! The wildlife was spectacular and the views breathtaking! It was a much needed getaway and and wonderful birthday trip for my daughter who turned 11! The girls loved the golf cart! Wonderful time! We will be back for sure !!!

Don't miss this Marsh front Oasis!

John's place is so special. While we are very familiar with Beaufort and the surrounding area, this was our first trip to Fripp Island and we could not have chosen a better spot. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and the beautiful beach is only a short golf cart ride away. The house felt very my like home, and we had everything we needed to enjoy our time away. John is very responsive to any messages or questions you may have. We highly recommend staying here!
