The marina, the medieval town, the rue de la Ferté with its many shops and restaurants.
The walk along the bay which will lead you to Cape Hornu and to the Chapel of the sailors, the old fishermen's town and its narrow streets, sea trips, the 'Picarvie' Museum. From Saint-Valery, cycle paths that lead you north of the bay to the port of Le Crotoy, and south to Le Hourdel and Cayeux-sur-Mer by the sand road. Many sporting activities are offered to you: Cycling tours in the region (Crécy Forest, Marquenterre, etc.), Sea kayaking, fishing, etc.

The excellent property was in the position that we required, was well introduced by the gentleman we met, and offered everything that we had hoped for - EXCEPT perhaps the apartment needs one comfortable single armchair (fauteuil confortable). My heart condition means that I have to sit upright and the lounge/bed did not provide me with any back support, so I had to sit in a dining chair. We very much enjoyed meeting M. et Mme Guilbert and their grand-daughter. What lovely people!

Perfect for us, once we had found it.
Convenient and well equipped. By arrangement we arrived late evening after dark and we only gained access because the owner had come out to look for us. Advise anyone planning to arrive after dark to obtain more detailed information about the location than just the address.

A Lovely Apartment in the Beautiful Town of St Valery sur Somme
We were welcomed by M and Mme Guilbert who showed us how the apartment and how the parking worked. The apartment is in a modern block that is very well maintained. The apartment is very clean, the bed is comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are well designed and practical. All furniture and fittings are excellent. We had an excellent week in the apartment. The parking is an added bonus as we were able to park easily in the dedicated car park and not pay for parking. We could keep our cycles in a locked store. A suggestion: it is worth stressing that the rental does not include bed linen or towels. These items are customary for English people. In order to bring the right sizes of bed linen a note of the dimensions of the bed would be helpful. Liaison with the owners was very positive and speedy.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Schönes, gut eingerichtes Appartement sehr gut gelegen. 10 Minuten Fußweg zur schönen Innenstadt. 5 Minuten zum kostenlosen Bus, der einen Rundweg durch die ganze Stadt macht. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ( 5 Minuten mit dem Auto). Eigener Parkplatz. Super Gastgeber.

Nous recommandons cette location.
L'appartement, tout confort et bien équipé est très agréable. Il est proche du centre ville (à pieds) et possède surtout une place de parking privé .Le stationnement est payant partout (horodateurs). St Valéry est une jolie commune proche de nombreux sites à visiter. Les propriétaires sont bien sympathiques et de bons conseils pour les balades à faire. Nous avons passé une belle semaine.

Très bien située avec l'énorme avantage du parking voiture, de l'abri vélo et la proximité de l'Intermarché. Seul point moins positif pour qui n'y est pas habitué: la proximité de la route. Mais de bon bouchons d'oreille la nuit font bien l'affaire. Nous y retournerions volontiers
