Det første indtryk vi fik ved ankomsten til Hotel Saxkjøbing var positiv - smuk bygning og imødekommende receptionist. Desværre sluttede de positive indtryk her! Rengøring levede ikke op til standard, værelset var koldt og på ingen måde hyggeligt. Sætningsskader i form af revner i vægge, gulvareal var usædvanlig meget skrå, dårlig akustisk og støj fra de omliggende værelser samt en dårlig lugt. Vi blev vækket tidlig om morgenen af håndværkere, som skulle sætte facade stillads op. Morgenbuffen var okay - bortset fra manglende opfyldning af service, kaffe/tea og brød. Visne blomster, stearinlys på bordene var manglende på mange steder i restauranten samt manglende personale. Ingen afsked med personale (receptionist) farvel og på gensyn - for der var ingen.

Hyggelig atmosfære - lækker mad
Vi havde en dejlig weekend m/ to overnatninger på Hotel Saxkøbing. Det er et fint, gammelt og hyggeligt hotel med masser af atmosfære. Værelset var relativt ny-istandsat med respekt for ‘det gamle’. (Brudeniche fra tidligere renovering kunne godt klare en make-over igen). Gode senge og rigtig lækker morgenmad. Hotellet ligger rigtigt godt på Torvet af Saxkøbing og indbyder til dejlig morgen-gåtur i de gamle gader og til fjorden/åen.
