About the property
Thurs-Thurs check in/out 7 night min in Summer - Please enquire for short stays outside these times.
In the artisan quarter of Salcombe, one of the most popular seaside holiday destinations in South Devon, this two-bedroom end-of-terrace on Island Square is cosy and perfectly formed. Close to the heart of all the action but pleasingly set back on a private square thatās shielded by the former sea wall, itās an ideal bolthole for those seeking sand, sea and (hopefully) sun in the South West.
Festoon lighting hangs outside the front door providing a warm welcome. Walk in and youāre greeted by an open plan living, kitchen and dining space thatās decorated in a style thatās modern but sympathetic to the history of this charming cottage. Everything you could ask for has been artfully installed, from a dedicated wine fridge to lots of storage space housing every utensil for wining and dining after a day on the beach. Thereās a separate utility room complete with washer, dryer and hanging space for wetsuits and swimming costumes, and a second entrance from the street so you donāt bring sandy feet into the house.
Upstairs, the master bedroom has a double bed, and a second bedroom has a ātriple sleeperā bunk bed (the bottom bunk being large enough for two children). However, guests should be aware that the property is designed to cater for four people as a rule. The family bathroom is a good size and is equipped with a bath complete with an overhead drencher shower head.
The property does not have a garden, but has a courtyard outside the front, which is shared with the other properties in the terrace, provides privacy when the town is at its busiest.
Recommended for: A couple, family or small group of friends. Gin lovers! The Salcombe Gin Distillery is 50 metres from the door.
Favourite feature: This property offers an oasis of calm whilst placing you in the heart of Salcombe, close to all the shops, restaurants and the harbour.
Need to know: The property offers an optional parking pass charged at Ā£40 per week or Ā£25 for short stays for the long stay car park 5 mins level walk away. Please mention this on booking.
