Welcome to Ruth's Cottage! This historic home is right in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country and 2 blocks from beautiful downtown Carlton. Here we have all the touches of a luxury hotel with the comforts of home in a location that you truly cannot beat.

At Ruth's Cottage, enjoy breakfast in the fully-stocked, remodeled kitchen. Kick back and relax in the open living space with hardwood floors, a personal piano, and a record player! Live it up on the back patio and have an outdoor barbeque in the summer evenings. You won't want to miss out on making those craft cocktails. Enjoy a soothing bath in the claw foot tub, and retreat to bed with luxurious bedding. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time at Ruth's Cottage. The attention to detail when designing this rental makes it a truly special spot to serve as home while exploring Oregon's Wine Country.

Ruth's Cottage offers a large queen bedroom with a vintage four-poster bed and a private en-suite bathroom. The home's TV lounge room offers a Roku streaming device and an attached half bathroom. An additional double sofa sleeper is available to host up to two more guests. Best for children or one adult. When the Cottage is booked for four guests, we make up the sofa bed and provide additional towels, and amenities for all to enjoy.

The Cottage comes equipped with a washer and dryer that is available for guest use. We welcome guests traveling with up to two small dogs. The extremely private backyard is a lovely space to retreat to on those warm summer evenings. Now offering a new Weber propane BBQ and patio set in the summer of 2021!

Family items (baby gate, high chair, pack 'n play), yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games (bocce ball, croquet) are available to rent upon request.

Due to existing damage to the garage door, we are asking that guests do not try to access the garage.

Love Carlton!
Carlton is a great place to stay when exploring the wineries of Willamette Valley and this little cottage is perfectly situated walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and bakery. Host is very attentive and house was very clean. You'll love the details down to the bath soap made by a local shop in town!

Within walking distance of the quaint Main Street in Carlton, this home served as the epicenter for our winery experiences across the Willamette Valley. The cottage was delightful, nicely appointed with a very welcoming atmosphere. It was a wonderful mixture of modern and antique with quirky art and fixtures. The location couldn't be better after a day of wine tasting and within walking distance of dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

Our visit was solely to visit friends as we previously lived in Carlton. This is the perfect location for any visitor! We were right downtown with easy access to the main drag, good food, shopping and the park. This property was comfortable, provided plenty of space for all of us, and was well maintained. My children and I agreed we would all stay here again!

It was updated in the kitchen but the charm of the cottage was left throughout the remainder of the house. The beautiful high ceilings kept things cool, light and airy. The beautiful old oak tree that provided its shade to the house was an additional bonus. It was a laid back, peaceful weekend, right up my alley.

This house has such a fun vibe! We loved drinking the wine we had just bought while listening to the records. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the town was quaint as could be. Be sure to check out K&M and try their Syrah! And don’t miss the Carlton Bakery. You can easily walk and enjoy the town - but, be sure to grocery shop before you arrive!
