My bicycle touring friend and I showed up, and while there was no one else staying at this hostel (it's not a B&B), Colin acted surprised to see us. He had no idea who we were, and asked questions about how we reserved and when we reserved.
There is no microwave, no ice in the freezer (needed for an injury), no washcloths (only one towel per lodger).
All the lighting is overhead, no reading lights.
No instruction sheet with information about using the facility.
Dirty windows, dirty floor (I walked across it barefoot and my feet were covered with debris from the floor).
Old mattresses and broken pieces of furniture stowed on a staircase hidden behind a curtain at top of stairs in main living area.
Poor storage in a bedroom for four people. The one accessible closet was full of stuff and the other was blocked by the bunk beds. Hooks would have been handy.
There is lots of counter and dining space.
Great shower. Good washer pressure.
Lots of road noise.
