A one-bedroom, one-bath apartment on the 2nd floor of a house (accessible only by stairs). It’s in a fenced and gated property with a private and secured driveway and private entrance.

The apartment includes: a queen size bed, a bathroom, full kitchen, TVs, and balconies, off- street parking is with a gate and a lock. Guests will also have a private entrance to the apartment.

We’re in Roosevelt Park neighborhood. We’re within walking distance to the river walk extension, Freetail Brewing Company, Roosevelt Park that had facilities such as public swimming pool (open only in summer time), basketball courts, barbecue pits, club house, etc.

We’re downtown living. Expect some noise from traffic, train, early morning joggers, and neighborhood dogs. We provide EARPLUGS and SLEEP MASKS for our light sleeper guests.

Great getaway
My husband and I exhibited at a convention last month. Because it was a last minute decision, all the hotel rooms were no longer available at a discounted rate. We found this place for significantly less money and it worked perfectly for our needs. We liked the parking in dedicated locked spot. The place was very clean and homey.

We enjoyed the apartment and were happy there was a washer/ dryer. Love the location central to everything yet not right in the city or at AF base. Interesting neighborhood it seemed artsy. What Trains?
First night felt like a train running through property but by 2nd night both me and spouse slept soundly through the night. Place has charm. Close to Riverwalk and BCycle station. Used them extensively!

Character PLUS
Loved this unique property. It was perfect for my husband and I for 5 nights. Short walk to the southern river walk, then about 45 minutes to downtown San Antonio riverwalk. We did a couple rides backs at night which averaged $7/8 each. The train did not bother us at all, but if you are a light sleeper it may not be the place for you. We will definitely stay here again!!

Comfortable stay in San Antonio
The property was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The decor is intriguing and fun. It is a pleasant walk (couple of miles) along the extended river walk into San Antonio and a short drive to the San Antonio missions. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

Did NOT stay here; it was in a run down horrible neighborhood. The place was absolutely frightful, vehicles on cinder blocks, beware of dog posted fences, whole neighborhood at 90% of homes were in dilapidated condition, shady, sketchy; I felt I would be putting my life in danger!!!! I have numerous pics. I believe I should receive 100% refund and this place taken off VRBO. I’ve used VRBO many many times and have never seen anything like this!! This location is perfect as it's just a few minutes drive to the farmers/artisan market, grocery stores, the Alamo, Riverwalk, and Japanese Tea Garden. Me, my mom, and my brother all stayed in the VRBO and it wasn't crowded at all, lots of space. The balcony gets a great view of the city buildings. The renters set out toiletries, and were great at communicating check in and check out. Responded almost immediately anytime I reached out. We all gave this VRBO a 5/5 rating. Would definitely recommend 😊

Great SA experience
Location was great for us. We parked our car in the driveway and then mostly walked/biked (and a tiny bit of Lyft) for 3 days. Easy access to pedal assist bikes on river for mission trail and downtown/riverwalk access. Fun and eclectic decor! There is a train track nearby (but train doesn't whistle that we heard.) It.does rumble/rattle off and on during the night. (We always bring a white noise machine with us whenever we stay in a new place) We really enjoyed our stay!

Everything about this stay was amazing! The house was beautiful and so clean. The check in process was super easy and any questions we had were answered almost immediately. We are definitely returning to San Antonio and I hope this place is available when we do! The location was perfect. Only 5 or 10 minutes from anything we wanted to do. Absolutely wonderful stay!

Place was perfect for the acivities we wanted to attend. It was hard to see the property from the street but we caught downtown fireworks on balcony which is always good. It is downtown living so if you don't like a lot of noise or close train traffic you might look elsewhere. Nice neighborhood and a nice Catholic Church close by (St Cecilia) close by with plenty to do..

A very Special Home
I was amazed at by the property. It was so unique and the space in which we stayed could could not have had any more charm that it did. It was eclectic, historic and everything I could have wanted. I admired all of the fun a truly interesting details. It was a b-day celebration and the space felt just perfect for that. So many cool decorations. I fell in love and did not want to leave! You have everything you could need and a gated parking as well. The owner and Ray were both always available and attentive. I would give this more starts if I could. It was so clean. Not one sport of dust.

What a beauty !! Love the care they took in remodeling this farmhouse with all the current amenities and decorations. Close enough to the River walk (1.5 miles we took Uber) Nice quiet neighborhood. We will stay here again next time we are in town no doubt ! Thank you Ray and Derrick
