Great location and friendly staff. The building is a bit tired, and a bunch of the doors looked like someone took a hack saw to the bottom (not clean cuts) the bathroom door was delaminating because of it. Beds were ok, but the pull out needed a refresh as it was very noisy and sagged.

This was my 3rd or 4th time staying at the Bay Club and it never disappoints. Location on Shelter Island is great with fantastic views of either the harbor or marina, quiet at night and walking distance to restaurants. Staff is amazing, especially John the bartender.

Beautiful but smelly room
The room was beautiful and service was good but the room and hallways had a moldy smell. It made our clothes stink when we went out for dinner that night. If it wasn’t for the smell, we would definitely stay again.

Clean and comfortable property with a lovely view of the marina. Quiet. Spacious rooms. Walk across the street to sit bayside. Good on site restaurant with good prices. GREAT staff, especially Robin and Miriam, servers in the restaurant. We lived our stay and would definitely return.

I booked a one night not knowing anything about the area and/ or the hotel. I was a little skeptical at first, but everything changed as soon as I arrived to the hotel. The front desk was very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and ac worked perfect. We loved our view to the Marina. My only complaint if it can be called a complaint is more staff is needed at the restaurant. Otherwise we really enjoyed our short stay. We would definitely come back.

We stayed in June and came back in August for 2 days just to get away! It was great that’s why we come back to this location! Sau who greeted us at the front desk was his usual self always happy and ready to help in any way he can which I appreciate! When he saw me he remembered us from June as we were celebrating our 45th anniversary! No problems just a wonderful stay and looking forward for a relaxing time when we return hopefully soon!

This is my favorite place to stay in San Diego. I live 30 miles north and it is the best getaway. The marina view is so tranquil and peaceful.
