Convenient location. The front desk staff when I arrived were unfriendly and not very helpful. My key didn't work when I got to my room and I had to go back through the maze of hallways, no one was at the desk, and finally someone returned to re scan my key. The night time staff were 1,000 better!

It’s close to Little Italy where there are a lot of restaurants. And waking distance to the USS Midway Museum and the Maritime museum. Good breakfast but there’s no pancakes.

Everything for the most part was good. The breakfast is good if you keep it simple. Like cereal with toast or beagle cream cheese and coffee. The eggs were okay but the potatoes seemed as though they'd been they'd been sitting out for hours. But for a free breakfast it definitely does the job. I made our kids parfait with the yogurt and fruit provided and some cereal on top, it was a hit. Honestly my only true complaint is the parking. It Valet ONLY and 55$ a day for guest. We never pay for parking when we stay in Vegas Mexico Palm Springs or LA so why on earth should we pay in San Diego??? Especially such high rates and having to wait and tip someone every time you come and go. This is the first property we encountered this at so it was pretty shocking and upsetting that we spent an extra $245 in parking fees alone.

First bad experience here
Room I reserved wasn’t available. No reason why. Had to get multiple individual rooms for the first night instead. So was not able to benefit from the amenities in the suite that I paid for. Had to pack our bags the next day to check out. Interrupting any possible plans we had that morning. Wasn’t able to check back into my actual room until 2pm that day. Room was decent but shower was terrible, barely drained at all, so had to stand in my friends dirty water every morning. My third time staying at this hotel and I had no bad experiences previously. I can overlook small things like shower drains normally but how they pushed us into other rooms and offered me nothing in return didn’t feel great. Felt like I would of been more understanding if they would communicate to me what was happening.

Overall good place to stay would return the view from our side of building not desirable was rail tracks if you can get a suite on the other side better. Pool is small and shallow but still ok half covered and half open. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

Great location… terrible sound proofing
Well the good thing about this property is the location. Now the other things… the state of the room is run down. The wallpaper is coming off the walls, rug is separating, sliding door was off it’s tracks so wouldn’t fully close. Tub enamel was missing, light switches weren’t clean and full of black finger marks, boogers were on the walls, ‘fabric’ headboard had marks all over it and the previous guest hair was everywhere. The lack of soundproofing was evident. Whenever the a neighbouring guest would flush the toilet or take a shower, the sound was similar to a waterfall entering your room. And then there is the thumping from guest above… all day, all night, banging, jumping. One night we had to call to the front desk as the room below was having a party and the ‘Woohooo’ and music went well into the early morning. Breakfast… well for what you had to fight your way for was pretty dismal. Guests would fill there bags with all the pastries from the cabinets, take anything they could really. Only milk that was available for coffee was oat milk as nothing was getting refilled. Parking… no self parking, mandatory $55 valet so remember factor that into your budget. Check out… there was no ‘how was your stay’. We went up to the desk, said that we were checking out, asked our room number and all the gentleman said was ‘ok’ and he turned away. Won’t be staying here again, nope.

i was very disappointed and this was my first time staying at a hilton no greeting when arriving check in was akward nothing friendly chair ripped couch stained and we stayed in a suite water in shower would be sitting while showering and the pool was tiny and not that clean the whole hotel seemed dirty on the floor in lobby , elevator and walk ways trash i woke up with a swollen eye last day maybe because of dirty blankets i was not happy with my stay best thing was my coffee in the morning and location
