I thought this was a wonderful place. I was surprised and delighted to find a full kitchen. I would stay again. My only criticism is the breakfast room needed room key to get in and none of the guests key worked, so someone had to open the door for each person.

I was in the area to attend a concert. They were playing the bands song list in the lobby at check in since so many guest were attending the concert that night. Very attentive and welcoming.

The property was clean and quiet. The breakfast was always on time and the front desk was very helpful. They even pointed us to an excellent restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. On my next visit to the area will be going back to the Lamplighter. My daughter who visited the hotel also thought very highly of it.

The area around here is not the best, there is a hookah lounge, homeless people etc. One restaurant across the street that was good. The hotel room was clean and the front desk staff were friendly. It can be noisy when people are talking loud right outside your room - the doors lead directly outside. It is the only hotel I could find within walking distance of the college
