We just spent our Easter weekend here and it was lovely! Upon entering, it was welcoming and homey. I was quickly welcomed by Miranda (red head). She checked us in, and informed me of the amenities. She was very informative and nice. They had a heated pool, a basketball court, and a 24 hr fitness center. All pluses for my family. The room was beautiful and clean. On Easter Sunday, Miranda and her family went above and beyond to make it special for the kids. They did an egg hunt, had games, and gave the kids baskets. We were amazed and felt so happy to see our kids so excited. They served a hot continental breakfast this weekend. On Sunday, an asian lady was in charge and she reminded me of an elder family member who always wants you to eat more. She was so sweet. Taking new food out and announcing it, replacing food that was empty when you told her, she was a wonderful addition to the hotel experience. Overall, thank you Miranda and team for a fantastic weekend! We hope to return some day!

We stayed for one night on a Saturday with complimentary breakfast and they only do to go breakfast which the front desk lady let us know it would be juice, coffee, a breakfast sandwich, fruit, and yogurt. We literally got a sandwich bag with a cheap muffin and a yogurt and the man working the front desk on Sunday morning was so rude about it. Also the room we got was dirty and was almost like a motel 6 with a kitchenette

The breakfast options were good for a free breakfast. Parking was $10 for parking on the hotel lot but free on the street. I chose to pay the $10 for onsite parking but I think the street parking would have been safe and convenient.

No buffet on the weekends , in expedia said buffet every day but once you get to the property they said is only monday thru friday , weekends is grab and go breakfast wich it was horrible breakfast, I choose this place specificacly for the buffet breakfast, also no housekeeping , every one trow their dirty towels and garbage on the hallways by the room door and looks disgusting and dirty to see all that. i will definetly not stay here again or any sonesta hotels.

Dirty. Your told to leave trash bags, used towels and bedding outside your door. It doesn’t get picked up right away. After 3 days of stuff being piled up it was picked up. You have to pay for parking per night! After dropping 700$ you want more money. We stay at different suites around San Diego and this one will be at the bottom of our list. Best western by Carlsbad is so much better.
