Welcome to Villa Catalina, a beautiful, newly refurbished beach house with pool, just steps from Isla Verde Beach, selected by USA Today in 2016 as one of the best Urban beaches in the world.

(THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, CLOSE TO OTHER HOMES.

SORRY, NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ALLOWED.

NO MUSIC OR OUTSIDE LOUD NOISE PERMITTED AT NIGHT.)

The villa may accommodate a total of up to 14 persons in six bedrooms and 4 full baths- 9 beds, 5 queen, 4 bunk beds.

It is in a perfect location due to;

1 proximity to the beach, only 1 minute walk.

2 proximity to restaurants, hotels, night life, bars, grocery store, pharmacy and shops, all within couple minutes walking distance.

3 10 min drive to any major attraction in San Juan such as Old San Juan, Condado and La Placita de Santurce.

The villa is fully ac'd, has good wifi, and cable tv.

It also has a pool, power generator and water cistern.

I recently stayed at a house in Carolina, San Juan, that was advertised as a luxury rental, but it was far from it. Hereā€™s a detailed account of my disappointing experience:1.Kitchen Issues: The kitchen was in bad shape. A lot of the appliances were either broken or barely functional, making meal prep a hassle. On top of that, there was a noticeable lack of good cookware, and the limited dishes and glasses provided were insufficient and mismatched. We did get a new coffee maker several days into the stay. 2.Pest Problem: The house was overrun with flies and mosquitos, making it extremely uncomfortable. The doors were not properly sealed, allowing bugs to come and go freely. It was frustrating to deal with this issue in a place labeled as ā€œluxury.ā€3.Cleanliness Concerns: The house had clearly not been cleaned well. There was dust and dirt in corners, and the cleaning products left behind smelled toxic and unpleasantā€”not the natural, fresh products youā€™d expect in a high-end rental.4.Backyard Misrepresentation: The backyard was the biggest letdown. It looked nothing like the pictures. The stones were dirty, there was no grass, and the trees were untrimmed, creating an overgrown, neglected atmosphere. The bug problem was even worse outside, making the space completely unusable.Overall, this rental was a massive disappointment and did not live up to its ā€œluxuryā€ label. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean vacation stay.

Great spot to explore San Juan/El Yunque
We stayed in this house as a family of 5 and had way more space than we needed. The bedrooms are large. Upon arrival there were some welcome fruit/snacks which I greatly appreciated as a mom traveling with three young children all day. We cooked breakfast at the house every morning and the kitchen had everything we needed (note: there were not basic spices/seasoning like salt, pepper etc.). There were lots of beach chairs and some sand toys, our family enjoyed the lively beach a mere 90 second walk away. We felt very safe walking to the beach and would also walk and get coffee every morning. We also walked to dinner at Platos one night which was enjoyed by all. We went and visited el Morro and El Yunque for day activities.

Great location and great unit. The manager was very responsive and attentive to our needs and answered critical questions when the islandā€™s blackout occurred. Having the automatic generator was essential and without issues and our party of 7 had a great time. Perfect location to Isla Verde beach. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Clean and comfy. Location is amazing and so close to everything. You can walk to the beach or drive to piniones near by, which is my favorite spot to eat after a beach day.

Lovely Home
We absolutely enjoyed our stay! There was a group of 10 of us who stayed and this property checked all the boxes. The home is spacious and the backyard is an absolute oasis. Ruben the property manager was 10/10! So helpful and communicative! The acs are ice cold and kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for cooking. We are already talking about coming back soon.

Nine adults from our family stayed at Villa Catalina for a family wedding in Old San Juan. The property was perfect for our 4 day stay! It was super close to the airport and an easy Uber ride into OSJ. It had everything we needed, including coolers and beach chairs. The outdoor living area was spacious, with plenty of seating for everyone. Ruben was quick to respond to any questions or needs we had during our stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Great property for large groups with good location
Annual friends trip (party of 9) was a big hit with this property. Clean, fresh modern decor. Air con units in all rooms. Beach towels available. Coolers, beach chairs were great to have for beach day. We rented an umbrella for shade on the beach for $10. The pool was great add to end the day. Used the grill one evening for a nice friends dinner on the beautiful patio. Walking distance to casino and bakery for morning coffee and pastries. Multiple car rental places near by. We rented a car to go to El Yunque, Zipline. Grocery store 5 minute drive. Property looks out of place for its surroundings but felt safe and group had no issue with that. Have stayed at other rentals where pantry was full of condiments/spices. We purchased our own (no big deal really. Just being hyper critical now. Some hooks behind the doors would be helpful to hang wet towels) Laundry facilities in garage with detergent pods available. Overall, great property and attentive property manager. We would definitely return to this home.

Extended family vacation, grandparents, parents and grandkids.
The patio with all areas to relax in was excellent. The living room furniture was difficult for grandparents (me) to get in and out of. The number of bathrooms and bedrooms met our needs. The drains were a bit slow but we made do. Not a deal breaker. Appliances were excellent. We did not use dishwasher. An easy walk to the beach. It was nice to have a garage and parking space. The host furnishing beach towels and chairs was a plus.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Catalina!!! Loved, loved, loved our trip. Rueben was fantastic, very responsive to questions and minor issues that occurred. The house is beautiful, as pictured. It was a short walk to the beach, which was not crowded at all, and other amenities. Highly recommend, especially for large groups. There was plenty of room. 5-star rating, would stay here again!

Spacious and Modern Beach House with Great Location
Our stay at the Isla Verde Beach House was a delightful experience. The house itself was spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, perfectly accommodating our large family. The private pool added an extra touch of luxury and fun for everyone. Pros: Spacious and Modern: The house was roomy and stylish, providing ample space for our entire family to relax and enjoy. Great Location: Situated in a prime spot, the house was conveniently close to the beach, making our seaside outings effortless and frequent. Helpful Host: Jose, our host, was incredibly helpful. He provided us with a comprehensive list of MUST Do's in the area, which was a fantastic resource for exploring and enjoying our vacation to the fullest. Cons: Cleanliness Issues: Upon arrival, we noticed that the house wasn't as clean as expected. We cleaned and sent Jose all the pictures of how the house was found (we didn't contact him until the end of our trip) he assured us that he would address this with the cleaning company. Limited Towels: There weren't enough towels or wash cloth provided for our large group, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, despite a few minor issues, our stay at the Isla Verde Beach House was wonderful. The combination of a great location, modern amenities, and Jose's Must Do List made our vacation memorable. We would definitely consider staying here again!

We chose Villa Catalina as it looked ideal for our group of 7. My husband and I and 5 friends went for a long weekend. There was enough space for everyone to have their own room. The backyard was ideal for relaxing in the afternoon. Plenty of room for us all to gather or enjoy the pool. The house is located walking distance to excellent restaurants and the beach and only a 20 minute drive to Old San Juan.

Great time at Villa Catalina. Appreciated the space and location. Plenty of beach towels and chairs. Rueben was so helpful when there was a minor problem with the house. No spices or oil in the house so bring your own. Loved the outdoor backyard space and we spent most of our time relaxing there .
