Beware of this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and one of us got bed bug bites from the beds. I reached out to the hotel the day after we checked out and went to see a physician after we had returned home and received no response.

The Location of this hotel, just a short walk to Saint Mark’s Piazza, was excellent. With GPS, we were able to navigate the skinny streets to get to our destinations. Our room was nicely decorated with good space. The shower was not forceful, one of my pet peeves. The breakfast offerings were more than adequate. The staff provided excellent service. I would have given a better rating for cleanliness, as our room and the public areas were very nice, but while having breakfast I saw a roach scurry across the floor. When I brought it to the waiter’s attention, he said, “This is Venice,” and kept walking. I left right after he did!

Would not stay here again. The doors slam to at night this is the noisiest hotel on the planet. The electrics cut out in our room 3 times….electrics are so poor you can’t even plug the provided kettle in. And definitely do not dare to brew the kettle at the same time as drying your hair! Furthermore, we asked the hotel to arrange us a taxi to the train station, they told us 45 euros and that we could pay card. We got the water taxi and were charged 80 euros. An absolute disgrace.

Our room was on the top floor (4th) we were basically in an attic with no windows while the room had a terrible harsh smell. The room felt damp and humid. I wouldn’t recommend.

Ala hotel was very quaint and clean. Due to its age, it didn't seem handicap accessible,which is my only negative. Room was spotless. Breakfast buffet was excellent. the bar was cozy and busy each evening. Location is outstanding.

Conveniently located hotel in the heart of Venice. It is located on the orange line Aliguna stop so you can hop right on public transportation from the airport. It’s about 10 minutes walk to all of the attractions give or take with foot traffic. Very clean and welcoming. The staff was helpful as we needed to contact a private taxi for our return trip to the airport. One thing to note is the elevator can only provide service to floors one and two so you are staying on a higher floor, there is some walking up and down steps involved. This didn’t bother us as it’s an older building(it’s Venice!). They also have a breakfast option that we didn’t take advantage of but our traveling companions said it was good.
