It's a very small, cozy, well situated hotel near the center of the city that considering the establishment, is WAY OVERPRICED! THE SERVICE HOWEVER IS A 10 OUT OF 10 ESPECIALLY THE ROOM MANAGER ENRIQUE SANCHEZ THAT WILL GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE YOUR STAY AS PLEASANT AS POSSIBLE!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa de Sierra Nevada. Great staff and made us feel very welcome. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed using the pool, hotel restaurant and especially the live music at night! Cant wait to come back!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Despite an issue at the start if our stay, the staff and managers at Casa de Sierra Nevada were attentive and amazing! Breakfast in their courtyard was a highlight of our vacation. Their friendliness cannot be overstated. Thank you Casa.

A truly exceptional hotel in San Miguel Mexico
Our stay in the Casa de Sierra Nevada Hotel in San Miguel Mexico was one of the best hotel stays in our travel experiences. The hotel is conveniently located within two short blocks of the town's central square. The conversion of this18th century building into a gracious hotel was achieved by retaining its historic charm while providing all amenities, including a pool and spa, that travelers desire. The food in the restaurant within the premises is exceptional; the staff is warm, knowledgeable and responsive to guests' needs. The common areas of the hotel are kept very clean as are the individual guest rooms that are well-supplied. My wife and I truly had a wonderful stay.

there are so many beautiful boutique hotels in San Miguel that I am not sure why people choose to stay here. The superior rooms through expedia are no better than staying at a best western, actually worse- just a bed, small bathroom and no chairs to sit in in the room. The upgraded rooms can be very nice but I would say this is a poor value if you are booking a "superior" which is really a standard room- there are much better choices in SMA

Nice hotel but not a 5 star experience
Overall we had a nice stay at the hotel, but it was not a 5 star experience. Here’s why: - On the first day at check-in we were asked if we would like to participate in any of the special activities and we expressed an interest in the cooking class. The check-in staff promised us to check availability for us, however we never heard back from him and next morning at breakfast when we asked again about the cooking class, we were told it was booked out. It would have been nice to hear this earlier, especially as he promised us to get back to us. - The hotel offers a couple of complementary activities, such as a champagne reception every Thursday night. We decided to attend the champagne event and when we showed up at the hotel, we were told that the event is not taking place as no one had registered for it. Again, the staff did not tell us at check-in that one has to register for this and even if this is the case, they could have invited us for a Champagne tasting the day off when we showed up, as the Champagne card was already prepared in the corner. That was pretty disappointing. - On our last day, we paid for the room and all additional charges, as we had to leave at 6 am next morning. We were asked if we'd like to schedule help for our luggage and a morning coffee, which we gladly accepted. Next morning, neither the luggage assistance, nor the morning coffee were there. And as we sat down in the cab, a staff member rushed to us asking if we had already checked out.
