Four miles from the gift shops, museums, restaurants and wine tasting bars in the quaint Danish Village of Solvang; two miles from the Western shops, museums, restaurants and wine tasting bars of Los Olivos; and five miles from the shops, museums, and restaurants in the western village of Santa Ynez. There are 70 wineries in the area where you can taste vintage local wines of the region. Twelve of those wineries are within three miles.

Set back over Hidden Hills, property features panoramic views of the local mountains and vineyards. The large upstairs master bedroom offers a vaulted ceiling, an oversize walk-in shower, and closet.. Large 2nd bedroom with en suite bathroom .downstairs.. Walk in shower and closet . sitting area , 50 in smart TV and service bar w/minifridge. The upstairs great room is spacious with open beam vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, 55in Smart UHDTV with DVR, DVD and CD player. KIZA Broadband Internet for WI FI. ! The dining area has a table for six adjacent to the fully stocked kitchen. It features granite counters with bar seating, built-in cook top with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, washer/dryer and everything else you need for a home away from home. stay. A lovely getaway
I booked this as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday. Family met us there and the four of us loved the place. Secluded, but close to wherever we needed to be. Was lovely to sit outside, enjoy the view and play a little bocce ball or dip our feet in the pool. Delightful! The host was very responsive to my questions leading up to our stay. And when the coffee maker conked out, he promptly delivered a brand new one (plus there was a Keurig for back up)!

Amazing property with gorgeous views only minutes from Los Olivos and Solvang. The pool and bocce were great. Hosts were super communicative and pleasant to meet with. Not intrusive at all. Really made us feel at home while we were there. Highly recommend.

Life Is Good at Hidden Hills Rd

Great place
Clean, very attractive building, nice attention to detail. Eg: drip (coffee grinder, cone, paper filters) and Keurig coffee, reading lights in upstairs bed. Balcony is great for bird watching, enjoying the view. QUIET, unless there might be some nose due to neighboring ranch activity during the day. Unfortunately the second bedroom is only accessible from outside. Quite a long staircase.

Perfect Stay!
This property was so lovely in every way. The perfect place for two friends with two small pups. Tons of privacy between the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms but super cozy and comfortable in between. The views were so pretty and although I do enjoy staying closer to downtown Solvang, the spaciousness was so appreciated and still close to everything. Loved it!!!

Lovely property - like the shire or ireland! very clean and comfortable. didn't get a chance to try the pool or jacuzzi as it was rainy during our stay. Smaller 2nd BR is below main floor with outside stairway. Our hosts were very accommodating and communicative.

Bicyclists' Paradise
Location and ambiance were perfect. LOUD frogs at night (in February) were enjoyable. View to the east for sunrise and moonrise was beautiful. Perfect place to start bike rides in many directions. Close to dining and food markets. We stayed for the month of February and couldn't be happier. Now it's back to a blizzard in Plumas County!

We had a great time because of the accommodations. we were more than frustrated by the lack of communication from Vrbo. Three days before was not enough time or information before our visit to reassure us of our stay and accommodations. If we had not been able to contact the owner of the property it would not have been a good start.

The location of the property in the rolling hills is amazing! You'll be staying in the Casita but the host opens up his backyard and pool/spa to any guests. Perfect spot to relax and/or enjoy some wine tasting nearby.

A memorable vacation!
A good experience! Glad we stayed here. We hope to return. Comfortable, efficient, private, peaceful, and scenic. Mediterranean simplistic yet elegant chic modern house with a wine country ambiance. A well-designed house. All modern appliances and conveniences. Wonderful sunrise / eastern view of rolling hills and mountains. Several vineyards are visible. King bed on top level is very comfy ā€“ medium firmness. Spacious shower with plenty of hot water. Easy to use gas fireplace. Generally clean ā€“ could use some cleaning or replacement of LR and BR carpets. Minor bug issues. Bottom floor, with a separate entrance, is a small cozy studio apartment with a bedroom and bathroom, with a small kitchenette in the bedroom. We did not use this area. Gracious and quick responses from host David to address issues and provide tourism guidance about wineries and other sights in the area. Thanks David ā€“ we really appreciated your graciousness and help. Good value in low to mid $200s per night. Things to consider: ā€¢ High Fees (cleaning, VRBO fees, other fees). About 25% of the total rental cost. ā€¢ You need to do some cleaning before leaving ā€“ trash and dishes. ā€¢ Rental agreement disclaimer ā€“ VRBO and hosts take no responsibility if something is not working, so there is no credit (refund) for anything that is a problem. It is in the contracts. In Summary ā€“ An enjoyable house, host, and area to consider in your travels. Would recommend it. Happy Trails!

Wife and I had a wonderful couple days here. Centrally located to walk to Ballard and short drives to Los Olivos, Solvang, and Santa Ynez. Awesome views of the hills of the Santa Ynez Valley. Very quiet neighborhood, where you can go for long walks without seeing a soul... The pool is behind the main house...steps away from this separate house. Very accessible and great for the summer.

One of the best
The guesthouses which is adjacent to the ownerā€™s house is beautiful. The view of the hills was awesome. Everything was clean and in good working order. This was one of the best rentals that we have ever stayed in. We highly recommend it.
