If you can get a rate under $80 then it’s a great deal - the king offers a kitchen with oven but if you’re paying peak summer prices it’s average compared to a lot of the other hotels in the same area. Parking is tight, it’s about a mile to the beach. Also the walls are thin and you can hear the other rooms, so if you’re a light sleeper that might not work for you.

Ignore the negative reviews. Those reviews are expecting 5 star hotel rooms. This is by far the BEST “cheapest” hotel in Santa Cruz that is close to the boardwalk, and I’ve been to quite a few “cheap” hotels here. Stayed from Thursday to Sunday. When you drive in, it’s like an apartment complex bc it’s enclosed. Check in and out went smoothly and had little to no wait time. They also had a corner for snacks and drinks for sale. They also had an indoor pool. The hotel rooms were nicely renovated. All the outlets and lights and AC/heater worked. Woke up at 5 in the morning and it didn’t take long for the water to get hot, although towels were kind of small. It was quiet every night. No one was loud. Parking was packed on Saturday night with just a few empty spots. I would recommend this hotel. I plan on staying again.

One good thing about my room was that the bed was very comfortable. So now for the dislikes. I didn’t like that after my long day of Ironman 70.3 to find out that there was no water pressure. So no shower! Oh, the towel rack fell off wall. The insulations not very good, the people were very noisy with the tv on 24 hrs. I won’t be staying here again.

You get what you pay for. It was a perfect little temporary place to rest while exploring and enjoying all the city has to offer. Would definitely stay again. The check in and out was so smooth through the kiosk and we were able to checkin early no problem. Our deposit was fully refunded and it was well worth staying on the weekend.

The room was clean, it had coffee maker, microwave, and a small refrigerator it only needs at least one more chair. The pool, and jacuzzi were very clean. Overall it was a good place to stay.
