While the property itself and our room were nice, our overall experience fell short due to a series of service-related challenges. I want to emphasize that this feedback is offered in the spirit of helping improve the guest experience, as we had higher expectations based on your reputation.
When we first checked into our room, we noticed a persistent knocking sound. Initially, we thought it might be the headboard moving due to our proximity to the elevator. We reached out to the front desk and were assured maintenance would take a look while we were out for the day. Unfortunately, when we returned, the noise was still present.
The next morning, we brought it up again with a different front desk clerk, who was quite curt with us. We explained that the noise was disruptive to our sleep and suggested maintenance take another look, but also noted we would be open to moving rooms if necessary. It became apparent later that the noise was likely a mechanism from the elevator hitting the wall. Despite our requests, no one came to inspect the issue.
By the third day, we asked to be moved, as the noise had become untenable. However, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and a room change would not be possible until check-outs the following day. Spending another night with this issue was frustrating, particularly as it could have been resolved earlier with more attentive service.
