My stay in Casa KalMar was amazing. The stuff was always helpful and very nice. We good delicious breakfast every morning and whenever we need something else, they were very nice and gave us what we needed. I recommend Casa KalMar specifically if you want to stay in a quiet place and enjoy the weather and beach. Private beach and the views from the hotel were stunning. Thank you Casa KalMar.

The homemade hot breakfasts were incredible. All the staff are very accommodating. Delia is a doll! The pool is beautiful. The room was cool even though it was very hot and humid when we were there. We appreciated the glass in the windows after we stayed at a couple of other places with just shutters. Delia is a doll!

Loved our stay at Casa KalMar, the view is incredible! The breakfast was delicious, the host and staff are nice and helpful. The room we had was smaller than what i anticipates but overall it was good. The AC works great! There is not a TV but you might not need it with the sea view from your room doorstep. My only concern was all the little bugs that somehow get inside the room. However you are in a jungle environment so highly recommended bug spray. Thank you Silvia for hosting us! we enjoyed our stay and loved the free roaming kittens and dog.

We stayed in the Cantamar suite that is the entire top floor of the building. It has a wrap around balcony, kitchen and bar area separate bedroom and bathroom. The views of Zipolite beach are breathtaking. The highlight is the infinity pool which is so refreshing and clean. Our hostesses Christina and Sylvia were so lovely and they speak fluent English, French, Spanish and others. They are accommodating to your every request and we felt like family. Small and intimate we made some wonderful connections and friends here. Great value for the money. We will be back.

Beautiful stay
Beautiful place atop the hill overlooking the beach. Staff is flawless. Daily cleaning is a nice touch. Do expect things like ants and a few bugs around…it’s part of being in a more remote place. Breakfast is simple and delicious. Incredible views. Can’t wait to go back, Sylvia, Christina and staff are wonderful, attentive and dedicated.

Casa Kalmar is absolutely amazing! From the week kept facilities, beautiful room, amazing service, it is almost impossible to find a fault. The only thing to be cautious about is the stairs going to the beach and restaurants. If your unable to do stairs then you will need to take a taxi which is about 100 Pesos about $4.75 American. The view from the room makes this small problem worth every step in our opinion. We travel a fair amount and I cannot think of a place that I would rate higher. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Can't say enough about Casa KalMar. From the amazing view to the delicious daily breakfast (different every day!!) everything was an A+. We were supposed to leave on a Tuesday but needed just one more night there. Didn't end up leaving till Friday. Highly recommend!

We could not have been more happy with our decision to stay at Casa Kalmar. To say that this is the best view of Playa Zipolite would be an understatement, as it was truly breathtaking! We even spotted whales as we enjoyed our delicious locally sourced fresh homemade breakfasts. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. From Silvia’s vast knowledge of the property and surrounding areas, to Michelle’s world class Mojito’s, we always felt at home. Nice local elements abound Inside and out, and Silvia’s explanations were always fascinating. Perfectly situated on a bluff overlooking the beach, this was the perfect spot to be right in the action, but able to retreat if desired. Truly a wonderful experience and a fantastic place!

The property and room was excellent. It was beautiful, clean and we were very happy with it. The staff were super friendly and they were very helpful. Sylvia, is Mari and Jose were very informative and friendly. The drive was quite an adventure from the airport.

Muy bueno, importantes consideraciones por el tipo
Es muy bonito, la atención por parte de todos es muy buena, el desayuno muy rico, la alberca aunque es pequeña es muy cómoda con una gran vista, los únicos puntos a considerar es que está en una zona muy verde y poco poblada al ser y por ejemplo está como 10 minutos de la playa de Zipolite y de día es cómodo caminar pero de noche esta súper oscuro, así que lleven lámpara y hay mucho insectos de todo tipo por la vegetación tan abundante, por lo que el uso de repelente de insectos es primordial, incluso recomendaria llevar esas placas de byagon para conectar y que estén ahí principalmente para dormir porque incluso con el mosquitero pasan algunas moscas muy pequeñas, las habitaciones no tienen TV pero el internet es bueno, está muy bueno para descansar y desconectarte porque no hay ruido fuerte alrededor
