The room I booked and paid for wasn’t available when I got to the hotel plus checking in was horrible they couldn’t find my reservation and when they found my reservation the Yeah room I booked they had given it to somebody else and mind you I paid for this before getting there then they tried to make it seem that because the miss understanding they were going to accommodate me my baby No and my husband in a better room than what I paid for, which it was the opposite they downgrade me to smaller room with little space no windows horrible. Mind you I waited for about 2hrs to check in my baby is under one year and he was uncomfortable crying when I got the room they finally gave me had no energy to complain about the situation of how small of a room it was

El hotel es muy bonito! El personal es amable, excepto el personal de Roof Top. Estuvimos esperando mas de 20 min sin que se acercaran a ofrecernos el menú y solo habían 6 personas mas. Salimos y el oficial de seguridad nos recomendó un restaurante italiano al frente de hotel, la mejor decisión. Nos alegramos del mal servicio del Roof Top del hotel porque comimos nuestra mejor cena en Republica Dominicana. Si ocupan parqueo, el del hotel es pequeño y estrecho, y a la hora de reservar no dicen que lo cobran por aparte pero en el check in cobran 15 dólares por parquear. Las habitaciones son modernas y lindas, pero todo se escucha! a las 5am nos despertamos con los vecinos conversando mientras esperaban el ascensor así que si tienen el sueño liviano es posible que les moleste. El desayuno incluido es bueno.

Excellent location, friendly staff. Breakfast is varied and pretty decent. There's a rooftop restaurant with nice ambiance. This is my second stay at this hotel. I would recommend it.

Beautiful lobby but not so nice room.
Well first off, we were given a room on the main floor. The door was giving complications and it was a safety issue. We have a 7 month old and had to take precautions on the room since it’s close to the lobby. Then I saw the sink on the verge of breaking and there was no soap holder in the shower. Lastly before checkout we turned on the AC and a flying roach fell on top of me and the baby.

Needed a place to stay one night, twice, during my stay in DR and this place was PERFECT. As soon as you walk in the decor is simple but elegant, the staff is friendly. Mr. Montero at the front desk was great, the check-in was effortless. They serve a nice hot typical breakfast but what makes it a great experience is the staff in the restaurant; Rosanna, Elvin, Manuel y Mari Cruz were very attentive, kind and offered excellent service. They smiled and greeted my family genuinely. We loved our room best the second time around (Room 215). Overall if you want a place right in the heart of the zoom colonial, don’t hesitate to reserve this hotel.

I’ve stayed at Gran Hotel Europa three times now, and each stay has been excellent. Their rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet is terrific.
