This secluded and custom-built Blue Ridge Mountain cabin sleeps up to four guests and has a screened-in deck, plus a game room with a pool table. Dogs are invited too!

Take a short road trip over to Smith Lake at Unicoi State Park for fishing, hiking, swimming, canoeing, and lakeside picnicking. Hike among the mountain laurels, and the rhododendrons along Dodd Creek to visit majestic Raven Cliff Falls. Then hop into a raft and race down the Chattahoochee River, or zoom through the tree tops suspended from a zipline.

With exposed timber beam ceilings and hardwood floors, the bright and open great room has plush furniture (including a futon), a seasonal wood-burning fireplace, and a 32-inch flatscreen TV. Step out into your screened-in back deck with forest views, a table and chairs, and a gas grill.

Back inside, there's a dining table with four chairs and a full, well-equipped kitchen featuring an assortment of accessories and appliances including a stove, fridge, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, and a convenient dishwasher.

Chalk up your cues and challenge your friends to a game or two of pool in the game room. With two bathrooms, a king-sized bed in the bedroom, and a futon in the living room, this home sleeps up to four guests quite comfortably. Up to two well-behaved dogs are also welcome to join you for a small daily fee.

No visit to this region would be complete without spending time in the adorable, Bavarian-themed town of Helen where you can shop and dine, or see the sights from a horse-drawn carriage. And take a trip back in time and visit the historic community of Sautee Nacoochee with its prehistoric villages as well as buildings and other structures from the time of some of America's earliest pioneers.

Request the time off, book this quaint Sautee Nacoochee cabin in the woods, and get ready to escape to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Georgia!

The back patio and hot tub on this cabin sold us and we were not disappointed. We spent a majority of our trip out there. The interior isn’t perfect by any means and definitely could use updates, but we honestly expected it with renting a cabin. I messaged the host 5 days prior to our trip and then the day before our trip, we never got a response. Midway through our trip, I got a message responding but asking for more details - my initial message was clear and it was obviously an automated message. Very disappointed in the communication. The dip at the bottom of the driveway is no joke and no matter the angle you go in or out, you will hit the front of the car. They want you to bring your trash 3 miles down the road to their dumpster. Is that a thing they can even ask? Overall, it was an alright stay. We will not be back however.

Not so good
We stayed in this location from May 9, 2024 to May 16, 2024, so over Mother's Day weekend. The inside of the cabin was clean, but the screened porch looks like it had not been wiped down for weeks, so I had to clean myself before our little dogs could out there as they would be tracking all that dirt to the inside. That was the first negative. We like to cook on the grill but the one furnished was filthy and all rusted out. I called on the 9th to advise them of this and they said someone would contact me but no one ever did. Our son had brought some expensive steaks to cook for Mothers Day so that could not happen, another negative. There was only one hand towel for each bathroom for a whole week which was definitely not sufficient since there is no washer/dryer. There was no dish soap, sponge or dishcloth, had to buy my own. Only two kitchen towels provided which is not sufficient for a week since no washer. This was advertised as sleeps four as there was a futon but there were no sheets or pillows provided for the futon. The mattress on the king size bed was broken down and needs to be replaced. The TV was too small for the space so hard to see. The only good thing was the setting, the mountain laurel was blooming so very pretty up there. We have stayed at several VRBO locations in the Ga mountains and this was the most disappointing of them all.

Location vs Comfort
Overall, for the price this house was decent & proximity to everything was nice. Our first impression was walking through the doors to sticky floors, like there was too much cleaner in the mop mixture. We wore shoes/socks the entirety of our stay. If you have allergies to dust & mold this house is not for you. Chunks of dust was covering the wooden walls with cob webs in the corners. The main bath was moldy/mildew with no ventilation. The yellow jet tub was out of order (unaware during booking), it looked like they clear chalked over moldy seams. guest bath was updated more recently, however, the shower head screamed when the water was running. Water pressure, heat, and water quality was great. The bed was very dated, sinks in the middle & very squeaky. The livingroom was cozy. Lighting in the kitchen was inadequate, def don't try to cook at night/early morning unless you have a flashlight to see what you're doing. Pots & pans were a mess & desperately need to be replaced. The hot tub was pretty nice & the back porch was adorable. We had breakfast out there most mornings. The biggest complaint was the AC. Property managers told us to “turn off & back on”. It was at least 10 degrees lower than it said. It felt better outside in the 80s while on 71/72 until we cranked it down the 60/62. Like I mentioned, overall for the price & location it was worth it, but we personally will not be staying with the Vacasa company again.

Hard to find
So the cabin itself is really nice and comfortable. We had a total of three people and fit comfortably. Everything was clean and had all you would need for the kitchen. (Even a blender) but it was really hard to find. Google maps took you to the middle of a road. To get to the cabin go onto google maps type Love Bird Cabin Helen GA, this is going to take you to the correct road. On the left there will be a small sign that says, Bird Song Cabin on Heavenly Ridge Road, turn into there. Keep taking that same road you turn onto and keep taking all the lefts till the end of the road, there should be three times you have to turn left. When you get to the cabin youll be looking at the back side of it. Also the door to get inside was giving us some problems but the door wasnt all the way closed when it was closed last so if that happens pull the door towards you to make sure its all the way closed. Aside from those hiccups the stay was nice.

Nice area, but MUST have 4 wheel drive
Area and cabin were nice. However, our car couldn’t make it up the mountain the next day after it had rained. Had to leave car and walk the steep roadway up to cabin. When coming back down, I slid on wet leaves and fell hard, hurting my back and hip/leg. Now on meds after getting shot and awaiting MRI. Ultimately had to rent an SUV to get to cabin. Make sure you have 4WD to get to cabin.

Perfect Getaway
This is a great property and is our 2nd time staying. It is clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a resort style cabin, this is not for you. If you are looking for a nice, secluded cabin this is perfect. This cabin is ideal for a couple. It is large enough with one bedroom and one game room but there is a futon in the living room for a couple of other guests. It has two full bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace (Bring your own wood). It has a tv in the living room and Wi-Fi. The deck is large and screened in with a seating area, gas grill and a large hot tube. Follow the directions that are emailed to you to find the cabin, GPS WILL NOT GET YOU THERE. Our first trip there was hard to find. While we didn't need the directions this time, the directions are much better now and will get you to the front steps of the cabin. You will be about 20 minutes from Helen, GA and about 30 minutes from Cleveland GA, which has all the stores you will need. Gatlinburg is about 2.5 hours away and makes for a good day trip. We love this cabin for its location, cleanliness, and price. We have already planned our next trip and are planning on going about 3 to 4 times a year (we love in central FL), it is very relaxing and a great place to just get away.

Beautiful stay.
Getting to the property was a little with driveway but once there was a blast. About 20mins for downtown Helen a little bit more of a drive than we originally thought. The scenery on the back pouch would beautiful if a few of the taller trees were cut down a little (really blocks the view of the mountains across from it). Had great amenities like internet, kitchen, and a smart TV.

Steep drive is an understatement
The first night we arrived we were unable to make it up the driveway in my GMC Acadia due to sliding on the driveway. It was a gravel pavement mix and was slick and steep. We made it up the driveway the second day but when we left again it began raining and that night we could not make it back up due to the slickness mixed with steepness. It seemed to be covered with wet moss. We had to park at the bottom of the hill and hope our car didn’t get towed/hit. Walking up the driveway we were sliding around also.. we had to stop and rest half way up and we’re in our 20s and not out of shape. The driveway really ruined it for us because it was such an inconvenience having to carry our stuff up something that steep and long as well as slippery. Inside the cabin was great! It was clean, it was nice, there were no complaints. The hot tub was out, which was okay except I had to pay a “hot tub fee” for nothing. We would not book again just because of the driveway. I read “steep driveway- motorcycles and trailers not allowed due to driveway” but I was sure my SUV with good tires could make it up in the middle of August… extremely disappointed.

Information that would have made experience better
The cabin is generally what you would expect for one of the more affordable in the area. It was clean but dated with medium wear and tear. The management company was slow to respond with necessary information so the following tips would have greatly improved my stay so hope this helps: 1. All mapping programs on phones will take you to road immediately west of actual road. The road you want has a concrete apron (not gravel). Stay to the EAST SIDE of apron, huge dip at entrance causes medium suv and cars to bottom out if you don't. Go up hill, left at first fork, up and down first hill, then straight up second hill until you see 324 sign near top on the left. 2. The wifi information they give you is totally wrong, the correct information is on the side of the wireless router. 3. DO NOT USE THE HOT TUB COVER, if you do the hot tub is filled with foam and fiberglass pieces for the rest of your stay. Also because you can't use the cover it will go into Economy Mode (Ec). To turn heat back on press temp up then light, until St shows, will have to press button series twice.

Nice stay !
The cabin was very nice and in convenient location. Check in and check out process was seamless. It's a nice cabin with great potential however it needs deep cleaning and update. I would say it's more for 2 people than for 4 as the bed in the leaving room it's very small, old and not comfortable. The hot tub and screened patio was a great idea!

barebones, holiday inn prices and below a motel 6 place
pictures are so outdated, no where what this place looks like paid for a week stay. Over 1400 dollars, when I got into the place I want out or moved somewhere else, first Corp was going to refund me my money and I would be on my own. There refund was 500 dollars only stay one night. The Onsight manager god bless her got me moved to another place that was very good that took one day. I have several more trips coming up I do not know if I will deal with this company again. there is not enough space here to list what was wrong with the hideway

Worst vacation ever I had
The house check in time is 4:00 pm which is quite late. However, when we open the door around 4:00 pm, the house was NOT clean. We have to contact the management twice to get someone to clean the house. The house cleaning stuff spent only 20 minutes in the house and did very basic clean. We found all kinds of bugs inside the house and the house has very bad smells. We really cannot tolerate the smells and bugs and decided to only stay in the house for night. I would suggest the management needs to do serious soul search before listing the house again in the VRBO.

Great secluded area, a bit difficult to find but we managed. Property was clean but a bit dated. It is small, 1 bedroom but had 2 full bathrooms. Perfect for a couple. Property is secluded not a lot of outdoor space for kids to play though. Nice screened in back porch with a hot tube.
