Quaint carriage house off Forsyth Park
Quaint carriage house off Forsyth Park, walkable towards the river with a dot and shuttle stop close. Comfortable beds and roomy for our group. A few suggestions, thermostat goes to 78 each day and upon return to to carriage house in late pm or evening it takes 2.5 hrs to cool down. Linens could be fresher, shower tub is slippery and very confined with curtains yet artistically quaint if you were to bathe. The back door glass needs a shade for privacy to bathroom and moving around home. Local fare and suggestion book was nice and pur water in fridge helped with drinking water. Collins corner cafe is delicious and super close in park and Saturday morning farmers market was a plus. Parking worked out well.

Lots of positives but…
First the positives, and there are a lot! It’s a beautiful house, with little details that make it feel historic and modern at the same time. The beds and pillows were comfy, and the location was perfect. Check in was easy. Everything was clean, and we appreciated having a few games to spend time together. However- The toilet seat that was mentioned in another review still needs to be replaced. It appears to be installed just off center enough that if you shift, you get startled by the seat moving. The tub is beautiful but highly impractical. I was the first in our group to shower, and when I first turned it on the water came right out onto the floor. I was able to move the direction of the shower head slightly so this didn’t happen again. However it was an unnecessarily complicated shower as there was nowhere to put my things, I had difficulty standing on the curved surface, and exiting the tub was challenging. I’m short and don’t have the best balance, but my family members struggled with it too. If not for the tub I would definitely stay here again.

Vacation in Savannah
Great little place to stay location was perfect. The property was a little difficult to find the first time and parking was a little difficult. Also the coffee maker spits coffee everywhere when brewing single cups. The back door could use a curtain to help with more privacy. Overall good little place to stay.

Location was ideal. Place was clean, light & for the most part thought out. Nice to have a washer & dryer. I will note that even though there’s a nice coffeemaker, it has no water filter w/i but there were coffee filters without any coffee or coffee pods or tea. There’s a nice coffee shop called the “sentient bean” @.02 miles from lodging and a Kroger’s grocery store not too far away. We walked everywhere. Free parking a block over but keep in mind there are days that sweeping is done. I will also note that if you’re driving down bring a shower caddy. Otherwise, it’s quite awkward. Also, the toilet seat needs to be replaced. Finally, I would come back to this part of town vs. waterfront.

Came back to town for a short weekend getaway with an old friend from SCAD. We had the best time and loved being right by the park. Couldn’t have been better.

Our stay was great, this property is located right by the park which was great! A few things we’d like to suggest that could have made it better: higher quality pillows, working ceiling fans, add a shade on the back door window. Overall a good stay!

Caution & Communication
The location and overall presentation of the house is nice. Caution regarding the bathroom as the flooring is offset/uneven, resulting in the toilet rocking upon sitting on it. This also affects the angle of the shower/tub. Additionally the communication can be hit or miss. I texted the POC regarding the exact location but did not get a response. However, I received communication when I messaged the POC (via VRBO) about the lack of no Wi-Fi connection. Although their reply included steps which did not correct the issue, I replied to inform them of the matter—never received any other communication. No bueno :-(

Great location. Needs updating
This is a super cute carriage house. As I am accustomed to living in small spaces,I see a lot of potential there. Unfortunately, the owners have not made it a priority. Pluses: location. Parking. Easy checkin/out. Negatives are due to needing to update or focus on things needed while people stay there. 1. There are no dressers or closets anywhere. Even shelves with baskets would be nice to allow you to put your clothes in during your stay. 2. The bathroom doesn’t have any place to put your toiletries while Showering so they’re either on the floor in the tub or on the floor outside. 3. There is a medicine cabinet but someone installed a faucet which is too tall to allow the cabinet to open. SMH 4. Come prepared. As the listing states, they don’t provide much. No beach towels etc. I’ve stayed at numerous vrbos and they always have essentials like plastic baggies, Saran Wrap etc. none of this is there. (Usually left by previous visitors.) 5. The back shared patio space was disappointing. The rug on the ground was covered in moss. The umbrella as well. They’re quite old. It also needed a good cleaning. Debris everywhere. I’ve stayed in plenty of vrbos. I’ve never complained about them And they’ve been old and new. This one was a bit disappointing for the cost. I’d have rather spent it on a hotel room. I also wouldn’t advise anyone with any sort of physical issues stay there. The tub has a big drop out of it. I almost ate it a few times.

Read the feedback carefully
The location is wonderful. The property has challenges that need to be considered. The staircase and the bathroom pose significant challenges. I would recommend that the owners stay at the property for a few days to fully appreciate the shortcomings of the property for travelers with luggage.

Great stay
Overall great stay. The location was perfect - right on Forsyth park, short walk to great coffee at Sentient Bean and free DOT trolley. This is an older house the shower in the tub was okay. With all the shower curtains it was a little awkward. Outside area is nice and kids loved their own area in the loft. Beds were big but hard. House was hot coming in and took a while to cook off. Washer and dryer were great! Much needed after beach day. Bring your own detergent - Kroger and CVS nearby. Owner was great and responded immediately. She reimbursed us more than enough for a battery and our time for the fan. Would stay here again.

Perfect Environment
This was the perfect place to work, relax, and feel like you’re a part of the neighborhood. There is a cute courtyard to have your coffee or tea and read a book under the beautiful trees. The best part is the location as you can see Forsyth park from the living room window. Also everything is so walkable. There is a natural grocery store two blocks away and a krogers about two blocks the other direction. Highly recommend/worth the value.

Unique Space with great style
This property other than being adorable if you appreciate old charm, angled ceilings and spiral staircases is right across the street from THE park which has a farmers market Saturday morning. There are two great coffee shops just two blocks or so from the house. Both serve delicious coffee, one is behind the outdoor amphitheater near the playgrounds if you have kids. It's also just a few blocks from Kroger. We Ubered everywhere we didn't feel like walking, for instance at the end of a long day of eating and drinking. The house is airy and light and has a unique style. The kitchen is so cute and uses every nook and cranny possible for storage. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure which are two things I care about. I would recommend this house for vacationers and visit it again with my friends.

We had 4 longtime friends who are moms that were able to get away for the weekend!! What a fun city to eat and shop the day away. Many places were walking distances and the driving places were easy to navigate and the parking garages make it easy to park and navigate. The place was well equipped and the beds were the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. We would definitely come back as it was a perfect stay for 4 people!!
