Wingate 1/2 hour north of Savannah
The hotel was adequate but kind of WORN. It was formerly a Holiday Inn Express and recently converted to a Wingate. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good. It just seemed to be old and not sharp. It was good for a tired traveler and everyone who worked there was very accommodating.

Four Stars but needs some updates
Had a lot of problems with the tv and the two seperate controllers to operate. Guest services came to my room twice, but it never worked. Plus, confusing using one for sound levels and one for programming; confusing for a tired traveler who has been driving all day. Loved the new user friendly a/c controller on the wall.

Front desk did not smile and greeted us. Room noisy from the city. Power lights went off for around five minutes. TV remote changed because didn’t work. The night table where the telephone is was not working. It was informed to front desk and was not charged. I didn’t like the hotel and will not stay again. Staff need to be friendly.

It is a clean, safe and quiet property. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. After a day at the beach, easy to sink into the bed. Only complaint is that I couldn't find the attendant at the front desk after 8pm to inquire about late dining hours. Other than that, it was an incredible stay.
