The first time we visited Costa Rica, we fell in love with the country. The second time, we fell in love with Casa Montaña. We hope you will love both as we do. We want our presence in the county to be a positive thing for Costa Rica, so we will donate 10% of the price you pay for rental of the house to a local charity. Currently, the money is benefiting a special education class with students who do not always have enough to eat or the proper clothes to wear.
Casa Montaña was completed in 2022, with special attention to highest quality materials and construction. It is a peaceful and elegant retreat for friends, family, or business associates, with plenty of opportunities for exploration and pampering on-site, in nearby towns, and throughout Costa Rica. Casa Montaña is situated in the mountains just 15 minutes from Dominical (https://www.travelawaits.com/2489985/dominical-costa-rica/). You will need a rental car (4x4 recommended) during your stay. The mountain location provides stunning views of both the ocean and the jungle, as well as cool breezes throughout the day. Each bedroom has an air-conditioning unit, which you may not need because of the mountain breeze. If you do, you can feel good knowing the house is solar powered. The property is lavishly landscaped, gated with security cameras, plus WiFi and cell phone coverage. The entry level features a great room with seating area, a large dining table, and a beautiful kitchen. The flat screen televisions in this room and the one above are equipped with satellite reception.
Sliding doors open to the deck and infinity pool. Another door leads to laundry facilities. You may choose to do your own laundry, or leave it for the maid. Down the hall are a half bath that opens both into the house and out to the pool, and two bedrooms that share a handicap accessible bathroom. One room has a queen-size bed, and the other has bunk beds with a twin-size bed above and a full-size bed below. Windows from the bathroom have ocean views, and each bedroom has a door that opens to the deck and infinity pool, and another that opens into the hallway.
Upstairs is a primary suite with an ocean-view balcony and a king-size bed. The ensuite bathroom contains a soaking tub and a waterfall shower complete with windows to the ocean on one side, and the jungle on another. The primary bedroom is separated from two more upstairs bedrooms by a second seating area. This area has a wet bar and a television. It opens to balconies on both the ocean and mountain/valley sides of the house. The other upstairs bedrooms have queen-size beds, private balconies with views to the ocean, and ensuite bathrooms with ocean views.
Luxury is all around in this mountain retreat. All beds and baths are appointed with high-quality linens. House provided shampoo, conditioner and lotion are from Raw Botanicals, a Costa Rica company dedicated to sustainable luxury
https://www.rawbotanicals.com/). Outside, in addition to the infinity pool, there is a covered barbecue area, with a gas grill, sink, refrigerator and dining table. There are also two outdoor showers – one near the front door and one near the pool.
Alex, our fabulous concierge, is available at check in and check out, as well as by email or phone before and during your stay, to help arrange transportation/tours/activities, to answer questions, and to deal with any issues that might arise.
Pool/maintenance and maid service are provided every other day during your stay (when booked for 6 nights or more), but Alex can arrange for more immediate attention (at an additional charge) should the need arise.
A quick 15-minute drive drive from Casa Montaña, you’ll find many beaches perfect for surfing, sunbathing, and people watching. Each beach has its own attractions and personality to match your every mood. There are also many waterfalls, hikes and tours in the area (see a partial list below).
