You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Seaside Retreat in North Bay - with parking

## Space

Four bedrooms, two kingsize beds and four single beds. Two sitting rooms and a large kitchen and dining area.

There is also a sheltered outdoor area at the back of the house with seating and a barbeque. When using the outdoor space we ask that you do not go down the spiral stairs, the neighbours might not appreciate this.

## Access

Unfortunately the house is not suitable for wheelchairs.

There is a stairgate provided for the safety of small children.

One of the twin rooms is on the first floor but the other bedrooms are on the second and third floor.

The ground floor level where the kitchen and dining room are situated is also up a flight of stairs from the street.

## Interaction

Either we or one of our friends will greet you with the key on your arrival. The beds will already be made on your arrival.

## Neighborhood

The house is situated on a quiet road near the Old Town. Overlooking the sea it is close to cliffs known for the nests of rare birds of prey, however most of the birds in the neighbourhood are Heron Gulls and Kittiwakes. These are noisy critters.

## Transit

Everything in town is within walking distance. It is a 15 minute walk to the train station (although this will take longer with luggage and when you are getting your bearings). Taxi should cost £5 from the train station to the house.

The damp needs to be sorted
This house is a great house for a large group, is well located so you can walk everywhere, it’s well fitted out and it’s spotlessly clean. But the damp smell and unsightly damp stains across the house detract from this and should be declared to people before they stay. We checked in at the end of a very wet day and the house stunk of damp. The ground floor kitchen area was especially bad and it got better as you went up the levels. The smell got slightly better later in the stay when the rain stopped but the stains are awful so the photos on the site simply aren’t accurate. The owners clearly know this is an issue as it’s been mentioned in so many reviews and if they’re going to take peoples money then they need to fix it. The outside of the house has also been left to deteriorate so it’s a bit confronting when you first arrive. A bit of paint would go a long way for the front. I’ve stayed here twice and last time the damp wasn’t an issue so I loved it. I wouldn’t stay again unless I knew the issues had been fixed and the stains painted.

Home from home everything to hand and Spotlessly clean. Lovely sea views from every room. Centrally located but in a quiet area and situated on the cliff top with beautiful walks to either the North or South Bay. Definitely be returning.

Lovely House Super Location
Five friends had a great stay here for a few days. Very well equipped kitchen, sunny patio and bright cheery rooms. Be aware that the last flight of stairs to the top floor are very narrow and steep (good for the youngens!).

Wonderful weekend stay
Our combined family of ten arrived for a 3 night stay and loved every minute. The property is beautifully clean and tastefully decorated throughout, with everything you need for your stay supplied. Ideally situated. Wonderful views. Very impressive property.
The property itself was beautifully furnished and fully equipped with every essential that you could possibly need. Sea views from most windows. Apart from problems with central heating, either fully on or not on at all, and a few small leaks. Highly delighted with our stay. The four grandchildren loved the massive amount of space, ideal for hide and seek. To our surprise not one moan about the amount of stairs. Turned out to be a play haven for them!! Ideally placed for both beaches and amusements. Only a short walk to the shopping centre and local eateries. Scarborough itself is ideally situated between Bridlington and Whitby with frequent bus services connecting the resorts or a 30-40 minute car ride. Would certainly recommend this property to any family and we will BE BACK!!

The property is in good location and very spacious. Includes outside space and ample bathroom facilities. Lovely quality furnishings and fittings. Very well equipped and appointed
Although a terraced house, it is large (4 floors) and easily held 7 of us. Bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, utility room etc. all worked very well and there seemed to be plenty of space. ALL self-catering equipment from dishwasher tablets to coffee machines provided. I took a box of washing-up liquid, tea-towels, fabric conditioner etc. but needn't have. It really was like being at home with everything provided and thought about. Property is in a quiet street in North Scarborough and the two car parking places at the rear were especially appreciated as parking around the area is severely limited. Most of the Scarborough attractions are in easy walking distance (Harbour, Sea Life Centre, Castle, beaches etc.) but we did use the car to go the supermarket and for days out to Whitby etc.

Perfect location
Excellent property for a 3 generations family holiday - everybody loved it. It's exactly as good as the pics and description on the web site. Short walks to castle, main shopping area and beach and fabulous views of both bays. House equipped with everything a family needs plus private parking and on street parking permits. Brilliant house with plenty of room for the three generations we took away. Plenty of space for us all and owners really helpful in the planning and when we were there. Useful parking spaces too as those traffic wardens were very vigilant. Really great location with fantastic views across the bay, loved it all.

Fantastic House in a lovely location
The house and location were really excellent. With views of the sea from nearly every window. The kitchen was really well equipped and nicely decorated. A beautiful grand house with all your home comforts
We stayed at this property with family for a weekend and the property did not disappoint . Everything has been thought of, down to even a charger unit for your phone and iPad. The house is beautifully finished and decorated . The bathrooms are especially fabulous . Even has sky to and excellent wifi. Only thing need to be aware of, lots of stairs, but was not a problem for us. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay again.

5 Stars when the roof is fixed
Great House, nicely renovated. Excellent bedrooms und bathrooms. Brilliant kitchen. We did not use the terrace or the living room, although they looked great too. The house is near the ruins of Scarborough Castle high on the cliff line. From the north facing rooms, you can see the sea. 3 days before the stay the agency informed me by email that there would be scaffolding in front of the house because work on the facade could not be finished in time. And that a new roof would be needed. When we arrived some rooms had fresh water damage on the walls and the whole house smelled wet. After opening windows the smell vanished. As announced, they needed a new roof, meaning that the old one was already gone and replaced by a canvas. It did not rain during our stay, so we were fine. When we left, a craftsman was working on the house, so it may be fixed by now. After all a great stay. When the roof is fixed, i would definitely book again.
