Saltwater Frontage - Spectacular Views - Secluded, quiet, and peaceful

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place to get away from it all, look no further than this secluded waterfront vacation home on the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Sekiu, Washington.

This rugged and beautiful part of the Northwest Coast is located just 35 miles from Forks, Washington, and about 20 miles from the trailhead of Shi Shi Beach, considered one of the best wilderness beaches in the world. We are also close to Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the continental US, (the beginning of the world). Our little piece of paradise is a great jumping off spot for visiting all points of the Olympic National Park, whether you want to soak your cares away at Sol Duc Hot Springs, visit the giant and ancient moss covered trees of the Hoh Rainforest, or hike one of the many beach or mountain trails. We're close to the Sol Duc River, famous not only for steelhead and salmon, but now as the home of the Cullen family.

Just want to relax? Sit on the deck of this well appointed home and watch the ships go by, eagles soar overhead and whales cruise the coastline. Beach comb for driftwood, rocks and shells, and explore the many tide pools right in front of the house. On a clear and moonless night, be amazed by the brilliant stars and the Milky Way. And nothing is as wonderful as the cool, fresh air, and the sound of the crashing waves.

For large groups, or if you would like to camp, see VRBO 621863.

The quietest vacation I have ever been on. House was great and the view was breathtaking. Was here for seven nights and the property was so nice only left to get groceries in Forks. Will be back again.

Perfect Family Getaway
What an amazing stay. Our boys loved it just as much as we did. Pictures do not do this place justice. It's much bigger than it appears. And the beach provides hours of relaxation and exploration. We went to Hoh Rain Forest, Second Beach, and Cape Flattery - highly recommend all three! We arrived in the pitch of night so finding this uniquely situated VRBO was tricky and a bit frustrating. Would suggest the driving directions be more about where TO go with less about where not to go, but we figured it out and in the light of day it's very straightforward and easy to navigate. Also, if coming in at night, Highway 112 is no joke with all the hairpin turns! Just take your time and you'll be fine. Definitely would stay again and will recommend to all our friends. Hands down the best vacation we've had in over a decade.

Secluded and Relaxing
Wonderful place to take a vacation. If you like to avoid the crowds and just relax this place was amazing. We loved exploring the tide pools and having a calm, peaceful place to stay/ return to after adventures. It is a long drive out to the house, but ended up being a decent location for the activities we were wanting to do in Olympic National Park.

So very quiet
This was just what we were hoping for: woods, water, peace and seclusion. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Grateful for the laundry machines after traveling. The beach was beautiful and basically deserted. Watching the sunrise every morning from the beach was a lovely experience. It was a convenient place for side trips to the Hoh Rainforest and Cape Flattery. We would definitely come back if we ever have extra time out this way again. Thank you.

Wonderful Property!
Our family loved our stay at this cabin! It is clean and well equipped with full kitchen, cozy sleeping loft with comfy beds, quirky but convenient pair of bathrooms, hot showers with great pressure, and neat wood burning fireplace. Best part was the beautiful private beach out frontā€¦ we spent a lot of time there and were constantly in awe of the amazing view and wildlife! The cabin is secluded and the roads are dark and curvy, would not recommend driving there for the first time at night, and limited groceries in the area so plan ahead and allow plenty of time, but totally worth the effort to get there.

One of our BEST vacations!!
We loved our stay at Allenā€™s Beach Hideaway. The home is very cozy and we so enjoyed its seclusion and the beautiful, lush green vegetation all around. The beach and tidepools just down from the house were awesome. We saw neat rock formations, many marine creatures and a bald eagle flying and landing in a tree. We spent much time gazing out the big windows at the wonderful view and watching/identifying the various ships and weather. On a rainy day we made a nice fire in the wood stove and snuggled down on the comfy couches with our books. Weā€™re so glad we chose this home - it was a great place to stay during a visit to the Olympic Peninsula!
