Pretty cold and unfriendly
I stayed in this hotel in February, the weather was not so cold, but it was definitely much colder in the room inside! My bed was right next to the window and in the morning I always woke up frozen. Only after everybody started to complain, the hotell switched the heating on, the very next day it was turned. So stay was pretty cold and unfriendly.

Hostel to avoid in the winter.
Well, by -10 degres at night outdoors, my room did not have any heating, room was so freaking cold, and attendant refused to give me a 2nd blancket...... The truth, I had to sleep with my clothes on (pair of jeans plus double-pair of socks plus sweater plus 2nd poloshirt, .....PLUS my jacket)......... :( and I was still so cold, barely slept for 2 days). :( Just mentioning by the way too, that thin blancket that I had, had some hairs on it when I arrived, and there were weird traces of Idon'tknowwhat on the wall.

Room description on Orbitz is NOT accurate at all.
When I got to my room, I realized I was totally scammed. Room was TINY. I'd reserved the Deluxe Room, but it must've been the Standard Single Room. The photos are deceiving. Worse, the description of the rooms is a complete lie. First off the description says, "Private bathroom, shower, rainfall showerhead." There was no toilet or sink in the room...only the shower. That is NOT a private bathroom. And when I asked the guy working there about the private bathroom, he pointed to the shower. I don't know what they consider a "rainfall showerhead," but it's just the normal handheld showerhead in there...nothing special about it. Why are they trying to make the description sound better than it is? Even worse, there was NO air conditioning in the room, even though the description says there is. I asked the guy about that, and he pointed to an old vent in the ceiling that he said is the AC, but that they only turn it on in the summer. Well, that's not AC then. And he was totally rude. The "premium bedding" is also a lie. It's the most basic bed possible. Make sure you understand that you're NOT getting what the description says. It's a scam. The good reviews must either be fake or from people checking in with no expectations. The photos look nice. The actual room does not! I called Orbitz immediately and was on the phone with them for an hour. But they refunded my money & helped me find a new hotel. I checked out of this hostel an hour after I checked in & got the hell out of there.

kyo house is 3D. Dirty, Discomfortable, Death
Single room was located on the 6th floor, but no lift was very inconvenient. The room was very dirty, it had a bad smell from the duvet. Showers were also very uncomfortable when dirty wash. no towel, no soap, no toothbrush, no toothpaste. I will never go back. kyo house is the hell!

Little guesthouse close to Seoul station
Location wise and the staffs are wonderful. Room a bit too small but bearable if only staying for one night. Lots of restaurants nearby. One setback is there's no elevator, so if you have big luggage and top floor...good luck:-) Also toilet is share (co-ed). Overall for the value of money its not too bad.

Illegal from floors 4-6
ILLEGAL HOSTEL Apparently the hostel only has a permit to operate floors 2 and 3, but it goes up to the 6th floor. I was stopped by the Korea Tourism Police when they investigated the hostel and they interviewed me about my stay. The whole hostel smelled weird. "Free breakfast" was just slices of bread/toast and little orange juice/coffee. No soap or bath towel was provided in the room at all. NO ELEVATOR! And my room was on the 5th floor. Get out of Seoul Station Exit 3, then turn right, exit through Lotte Mart, turn right, cross the street and keep walking. Look for "KPOP Star House" and not "Kyo's House." But Kyo's House will show up on Google and Naver Maps.

Good price, close to Seoul Station
I needed a place near Seoul Station for a 5:30 train, this place is close enough that walking from the hostel to the station at 4:45 in the morning was no problem. It is close enough that I felt more than comfortable walking by myself. The room was decent sized for a shared-female dormitory. Though, for the future, whenever I need to wake early or want my stuff kept away from others, I will book a private room since there are no lockers and people wandered in until 1 am. However, if I just need a bed to crash in during a trip to Seoul, then this will be the place I go. I have booked it twice more already.

Cheap stay at excellent location.
We checked in for one night. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. They carried the heavy luggage up for us! We didn't even have to ask. The location is prime (Seoul Station-THE transportation hub of Seoul). The guesthouse was easy to find and had plenty of cheap eats/convenience stores nearby. The sheets were a little dusty, that was the only con.

perhaps they should give either more towels, or allow people to wash the towel for free. It will be an ok location if you know the direction, otherwise it's hard to find the hostel.

Great staff and alright rooms
The room was dirty but despite that, the shared toilets were really clean and nice plus the staff was super friendly. Kyo's House is a good choice if you're looking for a cheap accommodation for a few days.

The room is in a good location near the station, which was crucial for an early morning flight. The place was clean enough and the staff friendly. But the room was absolutely tiny…there wasn't even enough room to put my bag down on the floor. The bed was very small. Quite expensive for what it was...

We only stayed because it's close to Seoul Station and had an early flight and took the express train direct. Room smelled upon arrival, but cleared up with the A/C and airing it out a bit. Shower in room small. Toilet communal. Pretty clean. Twin room for 2 includes a twin bed and futon on floor. Ok for a night.
