Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located 1 BR on the Shallotte River. 10 minutes from the ICW & Ocean Isle Beach. 20 minutes to Holden Beach. Shallotte has everything you need for an amazing get away. The apartment has a kitchenette (microwave, coffee maker, & air fryer), walk-in closet, large bathroom w/soaking tub and walk-in shower, double vanity. The den has a huge sectional, TV, table and chairs, single futon; there is a king sized bed and TV in the bedroom for your comfort. This is a totally private loft upstairs locked off from the downstairs that is also a rental.

True Tranquility
We loved our stay. It was exactly as posted. It’s such a beautiful area and private. Though neighbors are close by, you really don’t hear or see much of them. My husband loved the fishing and the deck upstairs gave me a beautiful view to enjoy. Very restful vacation!

Nice change from the beach!!
Absolutely beautiful property. Beautiful river views from back porch. Dock for fishing and they were biting. Lots of wildlife to watch. Heard of 5 deer came right up to the dock while I was fishing in the morning. Very peaceful quiet and not crowded at all but within 15 minutes from the beach. Unit was very comfortable and clean.

This was the perfect stay for a solo retreat! The view is incredible. The paddle board was a great bonus! There was plenty of space and it was all very well kept. I made myself at home on the upstairs deck. Bring your own umbrella for shade and you’re set all day!

Impressive setting
The view is lovely. Using the dock and deck made the experience. The patch of woods is great for birding. The inside is spacious but has many mostly small things that made it annoying. There are light bulbs missing or burnt out, there is not enough hot water to fill the tub and soak. We had to make the bed after a long drive. There is no view from the inside, so if the weather is bad, the location loses it's charm. The parking space is barely adequate for a car with a bike rack, a larger car would hang out into the road.

Another great week on the Shallotte river
Such a nice retreat, we really love this little corner of the world. Chris’s place is clean and cozy and we love sitting on the deck looking out over the marsh. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for the fisherman and cozy getaway
This is the perfect location! My husband and I love it and will definitely be back. My husband enjoyed being able to walk out and fish to his heart’s content. We were very close to the beach and able to drive there quickly. I am a very picky renter and this location checked every box! The design has a gorgeous, modern, cozy appeal. It is so relaxing and makes you want to stay in and cuddle up!

Home away from home
Adorable upstairs apartment with all the amenities and great views of the river from the deck. Luxurious bathroom and comfortable living room with plenty of seating on the plush sectional. Great communication and customer service from the host, Chris!👍 We enjoyed all the fun board and card games! Plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping downtown, as well.
