During our travels, we stayed at several hotels in Beijing, Ximen, and Shanghai, but Green Court Residence was the only one where the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A lovely suite with separate lounge, bedroom kitchen and bathroom. The clothes washing machine/dryer made our lives a lot easier than we normally experience while travelling. There are much better options in Shanghai
Gosh, what a disappointment. When we checked in we were passed around to different people, ignored while others pushed in and eventually got checked in to a room that was substandard to the one we booked. When we enquired as to moving rooms we were told there were none available. We specifically booked this hotel as it had a washing machine in the room and we were tight on time with one night in Shanghai, yet there was no washing machine in the room. So we had to waste time waiting in the laundry room for washing to finish so we could collect it before leaving. The room was much smaller than the pictures with no space, one chair at the table, even though it was booked for two people. We didn’t want to eat on the bed so had to go out, completely removing the requirement for a kitchen, again, another reason we booked here. The only positive is the location, which is excellent. Otherwise, the staff are chaotic, the rooms are not as described, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really like this hotel because of its close distance to subways and tourists areas. Receptionist is helpful. Room is clean and large. Right in downtown area but it’s quiet and peaceful. Price is okay for area. Will stay again next time.
