Wonderful Home for Extended Family
We chose this home for our Thanksgiving gathering of 3 generations of family, and it was pretty great! Grandparents in the MBR on the main level, a family of four upstairs, and another family of 4 downstairs. Bathrooms for all! Living space is important to us so that we can gather and hang out as a group, and the living room worked very well for that. There are also smaller living spaces upstairs and downstairs for those who wanted to get away for a quieter conversation or to watch tv. One of the downstairs rooms is actually more of a studio apartment- it came in incredibly handy for a college-aged grandchild who needed a place to practice music. We could not hear the sound on the main floor.
We do not have small children, but there was accommodation made for them in furniture, books/toys, and cute little-people sized nooks.
One unusual and very appreciated feature was the ability to use the garages to store our vehicles! We had several cards between us, and when it unexpectedly snowed we were glad to avoid scraping and brushing snow.
We kept our meals fairly simple, but you might check with the host if you want to do more involved cooking. The appliances are quality and up to the challenge, but the cookware/untensils might not be what you need. True at every rental, though.
I noticed a couple of maintenance issues, but I'll pass them on to the host so she can correct them. All in all a wonderful gathering spot for us to gather! We would definitely visit again
