Just what a hotel should be about
This what a hotel should be about. Everything is seamless - good size rooms, comfy bed, thermostat that works and you can control, great shower, nice space to work and enough sockets and USB connectors (both old and new) in the correct places. Quiet, clean and comfortable. I can't ask for more.

The hotel was brilliant, Very good location as well with it being in the middle of Sheffield city Centre, and within walking distance of the car park and other attractions. Our stay was absolutely great.

Perfect for visiting Sheffield

We had a fabulous stay , we were given an upgrade as it was my husband’s birthday. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect in the city centre close to shopping and nightlife. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice for any one.

Look for a new review in the near future!
Arrived, unpacked, went out for a special meal then to so concert. When we arrived back I sadly suffered a diabetic episode & thankfully the hotel staff were stalwarts & so we spent the night in The Northern General Hospital. We tried to extend the room for a second night so my wife had somewhere to stay, sadly it has to be all booked over the internet which was less than helpful. So we never really enjoyed our room upgrade or did not get chance to sample the breakfasts. Better luck next time

This is my go to hotel when in Sheffield. Location is pretty great, you can walk to nearby restaurants or groceries. There are 2 receptions: The largely unmanned one is better for being dropped off/picked up by car and the other usually populated one faces the city hall with a road mostly for people walking. The rooms are small, but mostly clean. There has been an instance when the bathroom was somehow leaking to the other side of the wall but I was promptly moved to another room. Breakfast is consistent. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Would have liked to have a window open a crack to let fresh air in. Will come back again.

Awful guest experience
Left with no choice but check into a rival hotel after a fault with a disabled room alarm left staff unable to turn it off at night. For a modern hotel, incredibly badly designed system. Won’t be returning.

Friendly check-in, the room was well fitted but unfortunately there was a continuous problem with the electric sockets meaning I was unable to use the tv. Not a major issue as only stating for one night but could be an issue for longer stays. The staff did try to rectify and had an electrician reviewing after check-out. Breakfast was standard for a hotel although only one coffee/tea machine.
