Lovely friendly staff
We've been here twice now, staff are lovely and very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean. We made use of the leisure club facilities both time which are also very clean. We definitely be back again

We stay at this hotel often and unfortunately this was our most disappointing stay. In short I feel like I can sum it up by saying It felt like we booked last minute and were put in the last available room, however that wasn’t the case, this was a long planned stay and we booked our room months ago. Upon entering our room we quickly noticed it hadn’t been vacuumed. There was tobacco on the floor presumably from the previous guest making up cigarettes. The bathroom was very close to enter and the bathroom floor extremely cold to walk on. The window blinds are broken and the window didn’t lock correctly. Also the hot water from the sink didn’t get hot. The soap and shampoo dispensers were not good, when you push it down they don’t recoil and you have to lift it up to be able to push it again. Just little things you may say but it dampens the experience and why I’ve only scored this 3 out of 5.

Stayed while attending a wedding at nearby Tŷ’n Dŵr Hall. Due the business of Christmas, had difficulties with transport. The staff were very helpful in phoning for taxis etc. nice comfortable stay with a spa.

Overall - decent hotel
Great service, excellent food and the drinks offering was exceptional. Best I've seen in any hotel. Breakfast was decent too. Spa and gym facilities were excellent, loads of equipment. I had an executive room which was the best on offer. It was tired, not particularly clean either. Loads of dust behind the TV and there were stains on the bed runner. The door handle of the bathroom opened directly on to the edge of the shower glass, stupid design floor. Someone unknowingly opens the bathroom door too hard and thats a disaster waiting to happen. Needs addressing urgently. Finally, the lighting in the car park is very poor. Extremely difficult to see where you're walking when moving from the gym back to the hotel. Aside from that, the stay was great.

Very pleased our room was upgraded and we had an excellent view of the river. Bed comfortable, breakfast fine and price was fair. As others have mentioned noise does travel in the hotel and the grout etc in the bathroom needed refreshing.

The hotel is completely outdated and is in urgent need of refurbishment. The room was very smelly I had to use cologne a few times to try and manage it. The bathroom was too small! The lift stopped suddenly on arrival to your floor — not good! The whole hotel needs to be modernised. The internet was completely atrocious. We could not work there at all! The Spa was the exceptional. I would recommend a Spa Day but do not book the hotel.

Booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend so they could just get away from real life and detach for a night. They came back looking renewed and full of life again, they couldn’t stop raving about how good the breakfast (especially the sausages) was and how comfortable the bed was. I went with them to make sure check in was ok and the receptionist was absolutely flawless and so welcoming. Exceptionally gorgeous hotel, definitely need to stay there myself now.

Room very compact, bathrooms very, very tiny. Can improve on cleanliness! Tv remote not working properly, every time I had to take the batteries out and back in again in order to work. Breakfast very limited for choices. Staff very nice and very friendly! In the bathroom missing every single necessities like shower cup, cotton buds and rings.

Lovely staff and restaurant. Food and service in the restaurant was fabulous. The leisure area was lovely although half the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The walkways at night from the spa area need to be lit up as it was quite dangerous. Room was comfortable. Some shared areas look like they need refurbishment.

This used to be such a great hotel. I stay there 5-6times a year. It has really gone downhill in the last 18months. Looks tired dirty and needs a lot of maintenance. The WiFi is now really bad as well and struggles to even send emails. A real shame as the staff are really nice, friendly and helpful

Very disappointed. This used to be such a beautiful hotel pre Covid. Now the rooms are bleak, weathered, bear and not at all welcoming. Bear grey walls with stains on them. Stained, dirty carpets. Cheaply painted furniture that’s heavily marked. I’ve stayed in nicer hostels. The spa while still spectacular In its facilities, is now tired and dirty. Used to be one of my favourite work hotels. Won’t rush back. Food was still good, however very overpriced.

I highly recommend this Hotel. The room was very clean and nice. The facilities were very nice and also very clean. The meal at the restaurant was VERY nice and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back.
